We love coming when there are special events on
Fantastic to see a sensory area for those who find shopping centres overwhelming. Shame it is only there for the Christmas season, but fantastic that you understand this time of year can be particularly difficult for those with needs. Fantastic example of inclusion.
Don't know what people really want, plenty of toilets if you use the store ones and certainly plenty places to eat and drink, nice stores although some were empty . I did find some of the staff in the stores very very arrogant, and if people are moaning about the parking and traffic, get a bus in as we did and still managed five hours shopping, we come from Lowestoft in Suffolk,
Such a shame that some of the staff who work for queensgate can be so arrogant and rude to people, my interruption to staff who are playing with mobile cell phones and texting their buddies is hardly a reason to be tutted at and told "Go and ask at the desk" if you wear a Queensgate badge then I would assume you are there because visitors are the reason for your employment, not an interruption to it. other than that the lack of variety in available food and lack of entertainment it was a great day.
We went to queensgate today and parking was a nightmare! They had closed a whole floor to one of the car parks but hadnt bothered to put a sign up to advise. 40 mins we were in that car park and still no space so we had to come out and park at the town hall. I went to the info desk and asked to see a manager. ( I must add the staff on the desk were lovely) I then had to wait 20 mins before he decided to come down.
Well what a jobs worth Terry the manager is! Rude condescending and totally ineffectual! Needless to say no apology or reimbursement for our wasted time! Only thing he could say was what do you want me to do about it!
I for one would not recommend anyone to visit queensgate in the festive period go to a shopping centre where you can at least park!!
Took myself and my two sons shopping in queensgate yesterday - afterwards decided on some dinner as all the shops where closing - arrived back at 5.31 (after walking around to the bus stop entrance as the main doors where locked) to be rudely told by a security member to hurry up as they where locking up. Which I appreciate, to then be complained at as my 3 year old wasn’t walking fast enough to the ticket machine.
I was asked which floor I was on to which I informed him green 7 and he pressed the lift for me to go up. So you can imagine my surprise when I arrived at the floor and the doors where locked. So I went up in the lift to the next floor to find the same. Went straight back to level 5 to find the barriers down and all doors locked and no staff.
So you can imagine my panic now being trapped in a building with no exits and no staff around with a 1&3 year old.
Waving at the cameras, shouting, calling the main number and finally after pressing the button on the ticket Machines after 26 minutes a member of staff arrived to unlock the doors so I could get to my floor, and ultimately out of the trapped area.
The security man was extremely rude - yes I am aware I was lucky that they let me pay as I was a minute late for closing - but ultimately what a huge security and health and safety risk. As I was in an area with no exit and it took staff 26 minutes to get to me.
Disgusted by queensgate security staff!!!
Sorry to have to give my hometown shopping centre a bad review, but I think that the new seating is extremely uncomfortable - the seats are far too low and there is either no or insufficient back support. This is unacceptable, particularly for the elderly. Bring back the benches!
Queensgate you NEED to get @Lush to remove their window display regarding our valuable police service - their advertising campaign is a DISGRACE - imagine how our police will feel walking past that if they are needed in your centre!
TAKE A STAND #flushlush #boycotelush
Busiest time of year and all the toilets are closed/out of order!! Think you need to sort this out quickly and post more notices about the closure!
