Something has happened in Year 3 and 4 ?!?!
Foundation Stage really enjoyed exploring the insides of our compost bin yesterday with Mr B-W! We found lots of fresh soil, some potatoes we had been growing as well as lots of bugs and creepy crawlies! We loved exploring 🕷🐜
Years 1 and 2 each received a mystery letter on Friday morning! The children enjoyed guessing who it could be from and finding clues by following an enchanted trail. We were so excited to find out that the letter had been sent by the fairies, who also left us a book and a fairy door for each classroom! What a magical morning!
We hope you have all had a lovely and restful Summer break! Just a reminder that tomorrow is a training day therefore school will be closed.
We look forward to welcoming you all back on Tuesday! Please note that Nursery is closed until Thursday and Reception children have a staggered start. Please check your child’s start date if your child is in Nursery or Reception.

What an emotional day. It always feels very bittersweet to say goodbye!
All of Queensway are so proud at everything the year 6s have done throughout their time here and we wish them all the very best of luck in the future.

Last day of school tomorrow before the summer holidays.
Y6 leavers assembly is starting at 11am. Y6 pupils can bring in a spare Queensway t-shirt / PE t-shirt for people to sign 🙂

Such a lovely evening tonight at Queensway for our Year 6 leavers party. We got to spend all the money we earned from our summer fair stalls on all the food, drink and decorations. 🎉 🎈 🎉
Transition afternoon tomorrow!
Nursery- 2pm until 3pm Stay and Play (parents to stay)
Reception- 2:00-2:30pm transition with Mrs Pape then 2:30pm until 3pm- ‘Stay and Play’ with parents. Tea and coffee will be provided in the Hall for the first half hour for parents to stay.

Foundation Stage had a brilliant trip to Filey Beach today. Sandy sandwiches, ice cream, digging and great team work! The children were all exceptionally well behaved and we are all so proud of them. Thank you to all our volunteers 😊🌞🍦⛱
KS1 enjoyed a trip to a fabulous allotment where they used their senses to explore! We then enjoyed a picnic and an ice cream! A great day!
Key Stage 1 visit to the allotment tomorrow. Please ensure your child has a sun hat, sun cream, water bottle and a packed lunch (unless ordered from school) with them. They need to wear school uniform too. Thank you.

Unfortunately this morning we have found a dead cat under our school minibus in the car park 😔 it’s black and white and has a collar like this. We are not sure what has happened but looks like it went for safety under the bus. We will take the cat to the vets tomorrow but we have him/her safe at a school for now. Please share this post so we can find their owner. Sorry for the sad news.

Key Stage 1 ‘Come Dine with Me’ Celebration Event - an indoor garden party! The weather did not spoil the fun! Thank you to everyone who came along.
A huge well done to Year 6 who put on their last performance of We Will Rock You. It was such a brilliant show and all of Queensway are so proud at how well you did! Thank you too, to all the members of staff that have helped put this together and all the people that have come to support us! Year 6 rocked! 🎸

Foundation Stage enjoyed a wonderful Carnival celebration today in their outdoor area. Hook a duck, mocktails, Ice cream, cafe, gift shop and many more exciting activities. Thank you to everyone who came along! ☀️

This is amazing school I went to this school when I was younger and I loves all the teachers and the staff and if I could go back in time I would go back because that school was amazing to go to

My son has additional needs and is very happy there. We are so pleased with the progress he has made and the continuing care and dedication demonstrated by all members of staff makes this possible.Thank you !
My little girl has sadly just left Queensway school due to the family moving out of the area. She was a very shy and introverted little girl when she started here in nursery and wouldn't speak to anyone she didn't know really well. She's now at her new school in year 2 and went in with lots of smiles and confidence, chattering away to anyone that would listen and has made loads of new friends. This is all down to the hard work the staff put in with the children at Queensway and the lovely children themselves!! Thank you all. X
Fantastic school! The children’s well being is at the centre of everything they do. Lots of fun learning and love, kindness and great care given to all. I would highly recommend this school.
