Jo's aim is to complete a ODE and we will get her there in no time at all!
... Jo had been joining the weekly evening sessions on a Tuesday for flat work, Thursday for pole work and some private sessions jumping both in the indoor arena and on our grass jumping paddock. ūüźé
The improvement in both horse and rider in a really short space of time has been exceptional...watch this space!! ūüĎÄ

With Millie coming home with a 2nd a 2nd, a 4th and a 4th Jamie coming home with two clears and a 4th Chiara placing 8th & 8th Tallulah gaining a 5th, a 6th & a 3rd ... and Sarah claiming 4th in the main ring. So much fun at Hall Place today for the mini XC event. Some new clients headed out with me today to achieve life long pairs dreams (mother daughter) and to get back out there!
8year old Millie jumped the first class on her OWN for 5th place AMAZING
... Sarah Bayliss took Flint for a spin and a clear but a little too speedy for the bogey time.
Emma and Luna found their feet going from strength to strength!
And Jamie and I took the new pony Timmy out for a spin and a brilliant clear round!
Next up were the pairs: Sarah & Millie Sharon & Faye Sarah B & Emma
They all stormed round and came home clear ūüĎĎ with Sharon & Faye taking 5th place ūüĎŹ
Great day, great fun, great results ūü§© and then home for a roast and a few drinks which has now turned into karaoke and dance moves ūüíÉūüēļūüĎĮ‚Äć‚ôÄÔłŹ ūüôą

ūü§£ GIRLY GIGGLES ūü§£
I forgot one lorry was in for MOT and the other lorry was supposed to be at the garage..! ūüöõ Then I realised I had 3 horses and only 2 spaces ūü§Ēūüźīūüźīūüźī 1 horse lost a shoe ūüôČ ... I took a saddle with no stirrups....ūüėĪ and apparently a @kevinbaconsequine jump wing is totally terrifying! ūüôą
Despite an interesting start to the day @curtis_gjp @annabarnsleysmith and I had lots of fun and giggles at Cherwell this morning!
We only managed to take Queenie and Jewely in the end but both jumped well and Jewely finished with a DC in 4th ūüĎŹ ūüíé

ūüíęSHE'S SERIOUSLY SUPER ūüíę
Last week was really positive but Discovery second rounds still felt like a big ask after a tough couple of weeks.
Never the less off we went in the fabulous sunshine ‚ėÄÔłŹ to see how far we could make it.
... Que jumped a great clear getting us into the first jump off ‚ú®ūüĎĎ I've not competed Que in anything bigger than a 105 so this was going to be a good step up for her. She was AMAZING and jumped me round clear getting us into the final jump off - I couldn't have been more delighted...until I saw the size of it ūüôą ūüėā 120 suddenly looked like 140 ūüė≥ and I felt like @_livwarburton when she tells me "it's massive" and measures herself against every fence as we walk the course ūüėāūüôĄ
We were really unlucky to roll the first pole and then I rode a little strong to a big square oxer costing us another pole but I actually thought it was our best round - she felt great, I rode properly and it was like it all came together again and I remembered how to do this riding malarkey!ūü¶Ą #betterlatethannever

CRISIS OF CONFIDENCE
I've been struggling with my self belief recently. I've been injured, hurting, unable to ride, thinking that I'm not good enough and that I'm not getting "there" (who knows where "there" is...?!) ūü•ļ
I'm just like all the people I train - I am human. ... We all have good days and bad. Sometimes we feel invincible and sometimes it feels impossible. ‚ú®
The most useful feeling that comes from this frustrating time is understanding - understanding exactly what my clients are feeling. Understanding their frustrations and emotions. Because I feel them too. So ultimately what I have to do is pretend I'm the client and listen to my advice and the advice of those that support me. ‚ėļÔłŹ
I got the ūüĎć to get back on board so I went out twice this week to two little shows, to jump a few small classes. Clients and friends came along for the ride, the sun shone ‚ėÄÔłŹand the wonderful Chellano came 2nd ūü•ąat Onley and 3rd ūü•Čat Rectory Farm.
Am I cured, no. Do I feel better, a little ūüíĖ
What's the moral of this story... Don't give up ūüôŹ Stay positive ūü§ěMake a plan ūüźé I get it ūü•į Welcome to Showjumping ūü§™

@annabarnsleysmith has been on quite the journey with her beautiful horse Que.
Moving up the levels can be challenging and new horses take adjustments, patience and most importantly with story, Anna has learnt that you have to give yourself a break!!
... Anna is the best pupil, she is always up for the challenge, always looking to improve herself - for her horses and always willing to give it the time it needs to fall into place.
Interestingly with Anna and Que the challenge has been breaking the thought pattern that "Anna needs to be good enough for Que". When you have good horses, let them teach you, listen and learn. You don't have to be as good as them - because good horses make good riders. Remember - you and your horse are a team ūüĎĮ‚Äć‚ôÄÔłŹ
Once you take away the pressure to be "good enough" and you relax into the ride amazing things happen and it certainly all fell into place for Anna yesterday.

THROUGH TO THE FINALS ūüéČ
Yesterday @_livwarburton @xxloftyxx and I headed to @buryfarmequestrian for the @trailblazerschamps second round qualifiers.
The girls did me proud (as always!) with Olivia and Leo winning both of their classes and Erin and Connie coming third in both classes which means they are both through to the FINALS on all the ponies and in all the classes they wanted #result ‚ú®ūüôĆ
... It was a long old day with lots in each class but the girls made the most of the sun ‚ėÄÔłŹ scoffing all food in sight ūüćĹūüć¶ūüßĀand snoozing on the way home ūüėī ūüí§ @ Bury Farm Equestrian Village
