About Quince Stoneworks

We supply marble, quartz and granite kitchen worktops, nationwide, to both private and trade customers.

Quince Stoneworks Description

Quince Stone Works began in 1973 as I. R. Quince Monumental Masons serving customers in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. Since then we have diversified and expanded, complementing traditional skills with modern machinery, but are still family owned and run.

Investment in modern CNC machinery allows us to offer a 7-day from template to installation service throughout the UK on all marble, quartz and granite kitchen worktops.

We are fabricators of all of the major brands of Quartz surfaces. Including Silestone, Caesarstone, Compaq, Samsung, Okite, Zodiac, and Unistone, as well as fabricators of the ultra-performing ceramic worktops from Dekton and Neolith, and sintered stone from Lapitec.

This massive island in Unistone Carrara Mistero quartz only just fitted through the upper floor of this Bedfordshire barn. I'm glad we didn't have to carry it up the stairs!

We've just finished this funky basement bar in Soho Square London, using Saffron colour glazed lavastone from Pyrolave. What do you think?

We're all done at Ramsey's Plane Food!
We had 10 days to fabricate 30 slabs of Silestone Yukon into over 50M of bartop All edges mitred and with multiple radius corners.
At over 28m long, the main bar is a whopper!

Quartz Vs Granite:
Granite looks beautiful, it’s natural and has physical properties unrivalled by any other work surface. It can be cut and shaped into interesting and bespoke shapes therefore reducing the number of joins. Take a look at our range here: http://www.qstoneworks.co.uk/materials/gr anite-samples/
Quartz has properties similar to granite but is manmade so it comes in a huge range of trendy colours patterns and surface finishes. It is also incredibly strong so can ...be cut into long lengths even when including large cutouts. Take a look at our range here: http://www.qstoneworks.co.uk/materials/qu artz-samples/

We can supply granite worktops in many complex shapes, and we can advise on workarounds if your required shape is liable to cracks in the future.
The sheet sizes we work with vary in size, but generally the largest is 3m x 2m.

Here's another pic of the finished cocktail bar at Ramsay's Heathrow.
It shows or more aptly doesn't show the invisible mitred edge only achievable using super low viscosity glue and cnc cutting.
At 18 meters long it's big but not as big as the one were working on next..

Here's a pic of the cocktail bar we've been working on at Ramsay's Heathrow.
Looking good, don't you think?

If you thought granite worktops were out of your budget, you might be surprised.
We buy our material direct, in containers and all the production happens at our works, coupled with our years of experience, this allows us to reduce the cost of having granite worktops.
Why not pop into our showroom and find out more...

You'll be pleased to know that our granite worktops don't react to lemon juice.
Some black granites mostly Indian Nero Assoluto and Chinese Shanxi Black can react to acid leaving a faint shadow below the surface, but we only use Zimbabwe Black granite which does not react in this way.
Your summer is safe with us! Shame we can't help with the weather :(

Here's the first finished top at Ramsey's Plane Food. This Meet and Greet station in Silestone Yukon is mitred to 80mm and has some seriously tricky angles. Without a 5 axis cnc saw and indepth cad software skills this would be close to impossible...

User

We've recently been working on some big islands. One even had to be craned up to the second floor of a barn conversion!
This huge Bianco Assoluto white quartz island was cut from a jumbo slab and measures 3.2m by 1.5m.

We're super excited to be supplying all the counters and worktops for Gordon Ramsey's new Plane food restaurant at Heathrow terminal 5.
We will be using Silestone Yukon throughout the project combining invisible mitred edges and radius corners.
The design is exacting and the timescales are tight but we're up for the challenge.

We’re busy in so many types of buildings, there’s no limit to where our worktops crop up. Loving the green onyx bar top fitted to this restaurant in Cambridge. That’s a 60mm mitred edge, by the way. Neat, eh?

User

The great thing about black granite is that it stays black. Well, we say ‘the great thing’ but there are so many great things. Have a chat with us and let’s find out how your kitchen can take on a fresh, gleaming aura. Image shows Zimbabwe Black granite worktop

Fireplace, anyone? This is Juperana Bordeaux. We loved working on it. What unusual project may we take on for you?

User

Don’t you just want to run your fingers along these surfaces? Or just sit there with a glass of red, admiring the reflections and knowing you won’t be staining it? River White Granite worktop shown here with matching window sill and upstands
