What a lovely place this is, it was my birthday and my family were with me, the food was beautiful the staff were so nice having a good report with the customers nothing was a both to them. I would definitely recommend it Thank you üòÉ

We visited last night for a few drinks and something to eat. Asked the lady behind the counter if I could add chorizo and jalapeños to a Parmo I ordered which was no problem. The beer was on point but the food was on an other level. Absolutely beautiful. I was just annoyed with myself for not being able to eat it all. Same again for me next time!

Sunday Lunch is the best I’ve had in years! First time we’ve been since the renovations and definitely won’t be the last! Service was fab too!

User

Such a lovely pub, friendly and fabulous food. The younger members had great fun outside playing in the lovely garden. Special thanks to Kate for sorting out a meal for my daughter with severe allergies. It was great to be able to know we were safely eating out as a family. We would definitely return!

User

Popped in yesterday for a look and had coffee and cake truly scrumptious.booked Sunday lunch and that was beautiful, the staff are all lovely and polite and nothing was a problem.would highly recommend and will be back again for sticky toffee pudding.

User

OMG just had the best Sunday dinner!! It was absolutely delicious, the meat just melted in your mouth and the fresh vegetables were devine. Would definatly recommend to everyone!

User

Never been here before and I ordered a 10oz rump steak&peppercorn sauce. Steak was lovely, juicy and was cooked how I'd asked, the peppercorn sauce is one of the loveliest I've had. The home made chips were a delight and the batter on my onion rings was perfect, light and crispy. Will definitely be returning soon. Staff are lovely and friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. The new refurbishment is a lovely place and is very homely! Fab job:)

My husband, 8 year old (small child not my husband!!!) and I visited today for a little “off the cuff” treat. And what a treat it was too. We ordered drinks and the bar staff were friendly and helpful. I set up a tab having ordered only 3 drinks without any issues on the off chance we might stay for food - and I’m so glad we did. My daughter had the pasta - no challenge there I suppose, but my husband had the fish and chips, and I had the fish finger sandwich. Now my hubby said he always feels “done over” with fish and chips from a pub rather than a chippy and almost went for the “monster mixed grill” - and it is a beast of a plate full, but he ordered the F & C. We were not at all disappointed with what we had ordered. He said he was pleased he got them and I cannot recommend the fish finger sandwich enough (however don’t order it thinking you getting a light meal!!! My mistake there but couldn’t help but eat it all ). Both were so delicious. Thanks for a lovely afternoon, it really was a “Good Friday”

User

Just had the most amazing Lamb Roast here. Most places are stingy on meat but certainly not here. Beautiful veg and all unbelievably fresh. Price is very reasonable and I’ll certainly be making this my new favourite place for Sunday dinners. Ooh and the staff are amazing as always

User

Just a word of thanks to the superb staff of The Raby Arms for looking after our party tonight. 70th birthday celebration and I'm not too clever on my pins nowadays but nothing was too much trouble from all of you. The food was superlative and highly praised by all of us. We just loved the evening!

User

Have been for our tea this evening , have to say the food was lovely , service was efficient and friendly. My 10 year old daughter says her meal was 5 out of 5 stars ÔøΩÔøΩ. would highly recommend the Parmo it was delicious ÔøΩÔøΩ. Staff were polite and friendly . Will definitely be back again very soon . I will be recommending to my family and friends . thanks

User

Food was fine. Was boiling bank holiday when we came in so just had baguettes but they were fine, service was great and family friendly. Will call in again when we are down that way üëç

Pub it’s self is decent, beer is spot on and the menu is ideal.

Only issue is having to book, it’s an old pub, came here Boxing Day, was told we couldn’t have a table, the place wasn’t even half full, and apparently they had bookings all coming within the 20 minutes we walked through the door, it’s a pub, and to be fair the 30 minutes we were here having a drink, the tables we still empty so really we could have eating and been on our way, there was four of us so really you could have made an easy £120 out of us on food & drink, plus the other people that would have been in the same position, shouldn’t have to book unless it’s a big group booking.

User

Called today for lunch half hour wait for food which not s problem but wasn’t busy portion s of meat was plenty York’s lovely disappointed in the choice of veg I e red cabbage and butternut squash ) food was cold but I asked for them heat it up no problem service from the girls excellent would not put me off from going again as nothing was a problem

User

Pub itself is nice but menu is limited my Mrs fancied pasta but none available on menu ordered ham eggs and chips which she enjoyed very much and said the chips where gorgeous I had steak and kidney pudding which was very tasty indeed will most likely visit again

User

My parmo arrived within 5mins of ordering it and it'd clearly been sat waiting under the lights. It was partially fossilised. My friends food took another 15mins to arrive and was clearly fresh. All members of staff seemed dead behind the eyes. Won't eat here again.

User

Went here today for Sunday Lunch . Had the pea and ham soup starter which was lovely but the Sunday lunch was terrible. For some reason everything tasted sweet . Sunday lunch is a savoury dish and should not taste like this even the roast potatoes tasted sweet . The beef (which tasted sweet also) seemed to drop to bits at first then when I started to cut into it was a huge lump of jelly in the middle which just put me off . Will not be returning

User

We thought we would call in on the off chance for a bite to eat. Was really impressed at first as the refurb looks amazing, although after sitting down we discovered the new menu has very little choice compared to what it used to be. But we found something in the hot sandwiches section and ordered. The drinks were brought over to our table which but the bar man accidentally misjudged where he was putting the hot chocolate and dropped it all over me and my missus.

We were not happy with already having a bad day, but accidents happen which would of been understandable but not even the smallest apology came from him and he didn't even look like he cared to be honest. He asked us to move to a different table while he cleaned up and that was all we got from him.

After just sitting there with hot chocolate all over our legs and feet the food came out along with another hot chocolate, we ordered hot beef sandwich each and they both came out absolutely covered in onions (not stated on the menu) and I don't like onions. The waitress was a little apologetic which is more than the bar man could offer us and she replaced it without onions...which was the only decent moment of the experience.

After everything I wasn't impressed with the food either so unfortunately will not be visiting this place anymore.

User

Called up to ask if they sold vegan food at around 7:15 and they said yes and that they were serving food until 9pm. Went in around an hour later to be told that they had ran out of most things and so stopped serving food. Some of our friends had gone in at 7:30pm and been told the same thing. They should have at least mentioned on the phone that they were running out of everything. More than that, they should just make sure they have enough stock in to keep serving until 9pm. It was really annoying.
