Looking forward to meeting this little lady , Louisa Allen and her partner in crime Mr. Bumble on Monday. I'm luckily enough to be this pairs sponsor for the next year and see my stickers on their trailer. Looking forward to watching this pair grow, Just seen a little jockey and her Welsh A win reserve champion at HOYS today, so.... No pressure πŸ˜‚

Saddle fit is usually the first port of call when back issues are suspected, however the answers may lie else where. Next time you tack up look at your horses mouth, does the bit appear to sit comfortably? These days bridles seem to come with a crank noseband as standard. But how many of us really need it and is it doing more harm than good?

Do you ever get in the school and your mind goes blank? I know I do!! Here's some handy exercises to give you a head start, if your unsure of the more advance moves just simple changes of rein and different pole formations will help your pony/horse use muscles they otherwise wouldn't, whether ridden, in hand or loose schooled, 😊 , enjoy!

Fortunately, we are realising the importance of gullet size and the impact too tight a space has on the spine, and as a result movement. However, there are still many people buying second hand saddles and only thinking of the width of the saddle in terms of fit, we need to remember that not only does the spine processes need to be clear from pressure but also the ligament that runs the length of the spine. 🐴 https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fb id=1904043686557430&id=1786735668288 233

"Camped under" or just unbalanced? There are many stances a horse may develop that are not due to conformation, but an imbalance in their posture. Perhaps a result of injury, muscle tension or cranial compression are the primary causes, either way, regular treatments can help correct these issues .. πŸ΄πŸ‘

An interesting read!

Great afternoon yesterday meeting Sarah from "splash in a dash" in kendal, seeing what a canine hydrotherapy session involves and the variety of customers she has. Look forward to hopefully working alongside Sarah amongst other therapists in the future and being part of a good animal therapy community 😊 πŸΎπŸ’¦

Its hot , its sunny (well not today, but it has been!!) and the ground is rock hard....
Whilst we may be enjoying long hours of riding, the freedom of flip flops and riding bareback in shorts we need to remember that with all this dry weather we are having, concussion injuries may be plaguing our four legged friends. Whether you compete your horse or ride a couple of times a week, hard ground can alter your horses way of going. Muscular changes may occur to compensate for altered bio mechanics, a combination of Mctimoney and Craniosacral treatment can help the body cope with theses changes and prevent further injury.
Message me or give me a call if you would like to book a treatment or discuss your horse :)

After jack's lameness came out as a hidden absess we decided we could go ahead and give him a McTimoney treatment to alleviate any compensatory patterns he may have built up. Jack is such a lovely chap and really enjoys his sessions 😍

Troy getting into the "cranial zone" 🐴😴 #snoozypony #careergoals

Whilst the "locust pose" might not be the best type of suppling exercise for your horse, flexibility is important to maintain healthy joint function. A McTimoney Chiropractic treatment aims to restore range of motion throughout the spine, enhancing health and performance. 🐴

For those of you brave enough to take on the horse flies.... however, horses not only need extra care whilst being ridden but also when they are turned out 24/7. So make sure you and your horse can enjoy this beautiful weather, which is a rarity here!! πŸ‡πŸ¦πŸŒž
