Cakes can be like buses, you don't see one for ages then they all come along at once! This is a version of a cake I made a very very long time ago.... then in the space of a week I'm asked to make it several times again. So the Circus cake strikes again. This time for a company celebration of business in London with a fairground theme :) Rachelx

It's very rare that I get a client come to me with such specific instruction, especially with their own beautifully hand drawn illustration of their 'Dream Cake'. Della came to me for her 50th Birthday cake, a cake she had dreamed of with elements taken from a cake she had seen in a shop window. How could I say no :) right down to the specifics of the layers and flavours, from apple and walnut cake with a cinnamon and salted caramel layer, to strong citrus lemon mixed with raspberry. She even requested images of the 'making' process. I delivered on Saturday and this morning I got the most wonderful call from her just to let me know I had made all her dreams come true. It made my day! Rachelx

I really enjoyed making this one, inspiration taken from an image my client sent me, cake maker Zvaa, I changed the tree and added bees into the mix, with a little sign for the Birthday girl and a no. 3 at the top of the tree. Happy Birthday Helai . Rachelx

This cake was very specific to the client. Commissioned for a sisters 60th Birthday.... a lover of handbags, shoes and tropical flowers and the Bird of Paradise flower which I opted to paint on!! Rachel x

Thursday Weddings are starting to get popular. I loved the flowers I was given to dress this marbled cake, the deep reds gave it an 'Autumn is coming' kind of feel. And a beautifully dressed barn at Tythe Barn in Petersfield. Rachelx

The plain semi naked cakes are really all the rage at the moment. This one had 5 different flavours and flecks of gold leaf to decorate. Rachelx

Just going through some old images and came across these! I do love visiting a good quirky venue, I had a great assistant for this cake at Aynhoe Park. Rachelx

All done for now....and if it doesn't rain in the next two days I refuse to do any more BAKING :)

It was getting a little bit fishy in the kitchen today... from wedding cakes to old trouts, every day is different!! Rachelx

Wow what an amazing cake and service! I placed an order for my son''s Welcome to the World party at relatively short notice. Rachel came up with a design to meet my needs and could accommodate a chocolate-cherry flavour. She even offered me a choice- I went for chocolate mud! As I live abroad I couldn''t meet for a consultation but she emailed images of some planned elements. The finished cake looked super professional. 50 pounds seemed a lot for delivery but it was totally worth it to have the cake safely waiting at our party venue. It was a real talking point when it was brought out. The texture and flavour of the cake were absolutely incredible! It had SO many comments from my guests. I had hoped to take some home but it was so delicious it was all gone! That says it all...

We used Rachelles for the first time for our daughter's 5th birthday...... we loved the cake.... the decorations, taste and everything about the cake was outstanding. Right from the day we contacted Rachelles, the service has been extremely prompt & professional. The cake exceeded our expectations..... hence we from now on will be using them for all our parties....thank you once again...

We ordered a 4 tier wedding cake from Rachelles- It was beautiful and better than I could have ever expected! The number of compliments we received were overwhelming and it really was a centre piece! Right from the start of the process Rachel was very accommodating and helped to ensure the cake was just as we wanted, right down to matching the flowers on the cake with the flowers from our florist. The small details like that made all the difference. And having Rachel take care of the set up for us made the whole process so easy. Thank you again for a wonderful cake!

Rachel created an INCREDIBLE cake for our son’s naming ceremony. It was everything we could have wanted and more and we are so so pleased.

Mouth dropping on the floor doesn't describe when we first looked at our wedding

cake! I never thought in my dreams I would get a cake as beautiful and

detailed as the one you made! Not only did it look amazing but tasted

gorgeous too! I have a cake that has given us wonderful memories for a lifetime and we

If only there were 6 stars to award this amazing cake-maker. Not only is Rachel an absolute perfectionist but one of the most creative people I know. She goes to such lengths to ensure, not just a scrumptious cake, or cakes, but her eye for detail on the decoration is simply breathtaking.
