Rik from Radius 7 catered our wedding this year and it was absolutely amazing. ... The whole process was a real pleasure, from discussing the different options and theming each course to make it really memorable for the guests. Rik is so passionate about food and locally sourced, quality ingredients that we knew immediately we had found the right guy for the job.
We had two courses, the first was ‘from the sea’ with the most incredible selection of seafood, including handpicked Dartmouth crab, Gin & beetroot cured smoked salmon, mackerel pate - all served with homemade bread and butter. The next was ‘from the land’ with roast lamb, slow cooked beef cheek, ham hock scotch egg and beautiful seasonal veg. We had visited Radius 7 in February to try the menu and it was so good - we were excited to serve this food to our guests.
It was such a success, the food (served on big wooden boards) was a real wow moment for the guests and everyone is still talking about it months later. There was the perfect amount of food, everyone felt comfortable having as much as they wanted and no one was left hungry.
It’s worth mentioning that we had some vegetarian and vegan friends attending and Rik was so attentive to make sure their food was just as spectacular, no dietary requirement was too tricky as everything is cooked from scratch and Rik is a very talented chef.
When you’re hosting a big event like a wedding it’s not just the main day but the whole process of bringing it all together that makes it special, and Rik and the staff at Radius 7 certainly did that for us and we will visit whenever we are in the area.
A beautiful restaurant, with world class food, with real character and atmosphere.
