When I go into Preston city centre I always go to this gem of a coffee shop.

The staff has always been welcoming and the service is great too. This coffee shop can get busy at times so be prepared to wait for a table, but its definitely worth the wait! I normally have the omelette and a cup of cappuccino with a plate of delicious curly fries.

Ignore the negative reviews that this coffee house gets cause everytime I have been in and with my friends, the service and the food - PERFECT EVERYTIME

User

I love this place..!! Great quality!! Great price. Great food..!! And great service, always always with the most beautiful smiles!! One of my family fav eating place in Preston. Raffle we heart u loads!!!

User

I have been here loads of times. I have never had any trouble, it clearly states on the menu that extras are extras and will cost you extra!! People who moan, need to read the menus properly. It isn't the cheapest place to eat but I love the food and you don't have to wait too long. Waitresses always ask you if everything is ok.

User

I always like to visit smaller more family run places as they have the most character! I try to visit raffles every time I go into Preston because I know whoever I'm with will enjoy it! They have a great variety of food and drink and the curly fries are amazing! Me my mum and nana are always more than happy with the food and the ladies are lovely! Very welcoming and friendly!

Brilliant food and great service! Exactly what's needed in such a busy shopping centre!

User

Absolutely love this cafe. The food is always delicious and the portion sizes are nice and generous. The fresh pressed orange juice is my favourite drink to take away! Lovely team of staff too!

User

My husband and I go to Raffles regularly when visiting Preston. In fact we go so often that we are now on friendly terms with the staff who go out of their way to be helpful, asking if we would like extra side orders but they are never pushy. The food is excellent and plenty of it. The only criticism we have, is that they do not supply low fat mayo, salad cream or salad dressings which I am sure plenty of customers would take advantage of if available.

User

Always go here when I go to Preston and always order the same thing. The food is quality and the staff are always nice and helpful.

Only thing that lets it down is that it is very cramped and a tad overpriced

User

I enjoy it here so much. Been going here since 2013 with some friends, my best mate introduce me. portions ok but stingy on the fries dont give much. I do find the prices expensive for many things. I did find the food abit dry eg the dessert manchester tart was £3.50 but it wasnt so tasty jammy custardy and nothing side order with it free eg ice cream. Just been yesterday, treat me with kindness and customer service is amazing, wished me merry xmas and new yr. Recommend it

User

A bit disappointed really, I go to raffles whenever I'm in Preston but they have changed. I always order the same, earl grey and a club sand which, I asked for a glass of water and was given the smallest glass possible, what they scared it's going to run out...

The earl grey wasn't earl grey even thou they said it was, they changed it but still not convinced it was, as it still didn't taste or smell like earl grey.

We was looking through the menu and saw that they charged 75p for a cup of hot water, we didn't have any but thought that it's a bit of a cheek.

User

Wouldn't provide a wrap with my soup instead of bread as I'm intolerant even though wraps are on the menu. So had to have soup without anything at full price!!!!

User

Went in the coffee house today, and purchased a side order of curly fries, price stated on menu £2.20 I asked the waitress if I could have a sprinkle of cheese on top, no problem she replied. When overlooking the bill noticed they had charged me £5.99 for the curly fries. I thought it wouldn't be a problem to straighten the bill out and told the mangeress the mistake. No mistake she said you will pay full price. After much negotiating she refused to knock the price down, and charged me an extra 3.79 for cheese. I will not be going there again. Awful manners and according to her the customer is wrong!

User

Visited today for a treat with my daughter, wont be rushing back anytime soon. The waitress taking the order was more interested in selling extras to my order! My daughter ordered a chocolate cake when it came it was very dry to which my 7 year old pointed out at the first mouth, when I complained that it was far too dry to eat and asked if we could swap for something else I was told no I couldn't but could add cream to it if I wanted! Lady at the till taking my money didn't ask if everything was ok but did ask if I wanted to take the chocolate cake home to which I replied it was far too dry and was horrible to which her answer was well we don't normally have a problem with them! Will be taking up my complaint with Lathams and see if I get a more customer friendly response then what she gave me!
