In fact, he's so inhibited by the proximity of his parents, and his brother's childish pranks, that his beautiful virgin bride remains just that! Six weeks later everyone is beginning to panic - but, 'rafta, rafta' - or, 'all in good time'!
This warm-hearted tale of close-knit family life in England is by Ayub Khan-Din, writer of East is East, and is based on the play All in Good Time by Bill Naughton, creator of Alfie. Rafta, Rafta premiered in 2007 at the National Theatre, where it starred Bollywood legend Harish Patel alongside Meera Syal.
