Today marks 32 years since the re-opening of the ELR from Bury to Ramsbottom! We’ve certainly come on leaps and bounds over the years....

We wouldn’t be able to do it without the dedication of all of our volunteers both past and present, and of course to all of our passengers for their support towards the railway over the last 30+ years. A massive thank you to all of you for allowing the railway to be where it is today, here’s to another 30! 😃🎉🎉

Saturday 14th September...
The final stage of the ‘Tour of Britain’ cycle race will be passing through Ramsbottom, and over the level crossing passing the station!
We’ll aim to publish more details nearer the time 😀

Day one of three at our Summer Diesel Gala!
We even made the effort to have the BR Corporate image at Ramsbottom today 😉

Our Summer Diesel Spectacular Event begins today! (Thursday 4th - Saturday 6th)

The end of a lovely Summer’s day at Ramsbottom, big thanks to all our passengers and staff for putting on an efficient day. Alongside our service trains we have had a wedding, a charter train and evacuees around the railway today!... Here’s a lovely pic of our station team from this evening 📸
