Wow wow wow what an amazing spa day we have had.

From checking in at 9am made to feel very welcome, using all the facilities and relaxing out on the terrace sunbathing.

The massage I had by Rachael was out of this world.

She was fantastic and i’d highly recommended her.

Our 2 course lunch was delicious, and service was brilliant.

Can’t wait to go back again!!!

Went with my daughter for my birthday omg so relaxing,we also had a treatment and the staff were very attentive treatment was lovely we felt so relaxed then we went on to have a 2course meal in the bar which was delicious again staff couldn’t do enough to serve you ,cannot wait to have another spa day.

Went to Ramside on Sunday night with my boyfriend for the summer spa deal. This included a treatment overnight stay and full access to the spa. The room was absolutely gorgeous with a lovely view of the golf course and the two course breakfast the morning after was great value for money, would definitely recommend to anyone and we’ll definitely be returning.

Took my fiancé for a birthday treat, couldn’t have asked for a better experience, lovely and friendly staff, spa was amazing and so was the fusion restaurant, would recommend and will also return.

Just returned home after our spa overnight stay. I had read quite a few negative reviews and was quite worried about what to expect. Well, what can I say, everything was perfect from the moment we arrived until the time we left.

We were checked into the hotel by friendly professional staff and shown straight to our room (Room 112) which was just beautiful. Gorgeous bathroom and lovely views onto the golf course. We made our way to the spa, and once again, checked in by excellent reception staff. They showed us where to go and how to use our bands , when to arrive back to check in for our treatments and about our booking for brunch the following morning. The facilities were excellent as were all the pool staff and spa staff. Our evening meal was taken in the Rib Room and once again the service was excellent , as was the food. This morning our brunch was one of the best breakfasts we have ever had, fresh quality food and once again served by wonderful staff. Following this the next few hours were spent in the spa facilities both inside and out. A truly amazing couple of days spent been thoroughly spoilt by everyone at the Ramside. We will certainly be back. Please do not be out off by negative reviews - go and check it yourself - you will NOT be dissapointed.

Had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary. Staff were very friendly and lovely touch having chocolates and a card left in our room. Stayed in room 206, lovely room with very pleasant outlook.Dined at Fusion, beautiful food and very good portions. Hannah was very friendly and again realised we were celebrating our anniversary and arranged a lovely anniversary treat at the end of our meal. The cocktails in fusion were delicious too. Will definitely return! 😊

Had a lovely spa day here today. The pool and reception staff were lovely and so was the therapist doing my treatment. The afternoon tea was delicious too. It’s a shame my treatment was spoilt by a group of noisy women but the reception were absolutely great and very kindly sorted another treatment. Really good service!

Had a beautiful time !!.... had an amazing Sunday dinner in the Rib room beef was amazing and even better the food is all sourced locally !! Then spent the day round the pool !!! And my friend had a massage 10/10 she said !!.....then we changed nnhad food in fusion !!! One word fantastic!!! Meal was fresh and tasted out of this word !!! Already booking up for our next spa break !!! This place has everything!! Stunning grounds beautiful inside and out !!! Can wait to be back thank you 😊

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Staff were friendly and the food in the Rib Room was so good. The one negative I would say was we got told in the Cocktail Bar that we would have a good choice of cocktails/mocktails (albeit a smaller choice which I totally understand) in the bar that we were moving onto before the meal and this was not the case. They had no mocktails at all on the list so the barman asked which flavours we would like and he kindly made one up for my Mother in Law.

Reception staff not friendly or welcoming so not a good start. Room was lovely with a complimentary bottle of proseco which was nice. View was lovely of fountain and golf course. Enjoyed the spa, breakfast and evening meal. Only complaint is you can't access the spa until 3pm on day of arrival and you have to vacate by 11am. Seaham Hall you can use spa from 12pm until 12pm next day, that's an extra 4 hours!

Enjoyed my spa break. Only let down was the fact that when i checked into the spa i informed the desk agent that i hadn't been before and all she did was point out where the changing rooms were and how to use the lockers. A proper show around of where everything was would have been great. That's what i expected as with other high end spa's in the area. I was also told my massage was at 1 but then when i went up the therapist said it was 1:30pm. Just needs abit of fine tweaking and it could be great. Lovely massage and therapist chloe was really nice.

I’ve been going regularly for about a year and my last treatment was in such a noisy treatment room by the door it ruined the whole experience. I told my therapist who said she’d speak to a manager - I was asked to fill out a feedback card and did so honestly. I left this at reception, again explaining the problem and no one ever got back in touch with me to apologise. The treatments are good but rooms by the entrance to the gym can be extremely loud and you can hear a door banging every 5 minutes if it’s busy. A good treatment ruined by bad customer service and a room that isn’t suitable to be used for relaxing massage/facials etc.

Facilities are fabulous but I have to say service was not up to standard.

We arrived and ordered coffee at the bar while filling in the cards. Coffee took half an hour to arrive.

Eventually we were shown lockers etc and were told to make our way to the serenity room which we had booked. We waited for 10 mins for someone to come eventually decided just to go in. There were dirty towels all over and not enough clean glasses.

A girl eventually arrived and asked if everything was ok but they still did not clean the area.

However the girls who did the treatments were extremely professional and made us very comfortable and relaxed.

The pool area was lovely and helpful staff there.

Restaurant staff were friendly but a little disorganised.

Very poor front hotel staff giving Misleading information saying full use of spa is included in price and then going to spa firstly getting sent back to room to get the paper part of room key?? Before allowed in then not allowed in the twilight spa part as wrong colour band? Which would have booked on arrival to hotel if this was explained now to say it’s fully booked. First time here for husbands birthday and not impressed especially for the price

Such a let down when could be such a beautiful place. Badly organised and such bad customer service received after being misled when booking. Had some communication with management but then now having emails ignored, true reflection of poor service won’t return.

Not worth the money you pay, food was undercooked and cold when served, took over half an hour for the food to come out, staff are bad mannered, ( except the young ladies on the front reception desk they were lovely and polite ), room was a good size but had a few bugs ... only half decent thing was the Spa area.



Wouldn’t recommend, just go to Seaham hall instead guys ... you actually get what you pay for there.

My husband tried to book a spa package and overnight stay for my birthday surprise but the receptionist was not able to occomidate this. Why you can't book a spa day and an overnight stay is beyond me. You would think the hotel would appreciate the custom but clearly not.

I really didn't want to have to write a review on social media but as it's been nearly two weeks since I had any response I have no choice! Me and my best friend were booked in for a spa day and night for Mother's Day I love the spa we had a nice meal and nights stay . We got up early and headed down for breakfast where we were welcomed by the staff with a full on brawl and bitch fest between staff! To the point where I had to go over and ask the woman involved if she was ok to which she replied 'its so bad in here' I found it extremely unprofessional that the staff were arguing in front of guests as we left the girl on the desk asked if we enjoyed our stay we said yes but told her what happened and about the man involved she said she would pass on the comments. We then sat and waited to check out when a woman then went on the telephone to tell the man to come to reception they all then stood there sniggering and whispering with the man in question stood there!! Was extremely uncomfortable and awkward and bearing in mind I never asked to make a complaint!!! We left feeling extremely embarrassed and upset! I was so angry I called to speak to a manager who I told the whole incident too his response was 'well I wasn't there so I don't know' . As a business owner myself if my staff acted this way I would be absolutely mortified. Extremely unprofessional I have stayed at ramside 6 times but never again after how awkward and uncomfortable I was made to feel. Staff totally let down this lovely spa

Enjoyed the spa, breakfast and evening meal. Only complaint is you can't access the spa until 3pm on day of arrival and you have to vacate by 11am. Seaham Hall you can use spa from 12pm until 12pm next day, that's an extra 4 hours!

Enjoyed my spa break. Only let down was the fact that when i checked into the spa i informed the desk agent that i hadn't been before and all she did was point out where the changing rooms were and how to use the lockers. A proper show around of where everything was would have been great. That's what i expected as with other high end spa's in the area. I was also told my massage was at 1 but then when i went up the therapist said it was 1:30pm. Just needs abit of fine tweaking and it could be great. Lovely massage and therapist chloe was really nice.

I’ve been going regularly for about a year and my last treatment was in such a noisy treatment room by the door it ruined the whole experience. I told my therapist who said she’d speak to a manager - I was asked to fill out a feedback card and did so honestly. I left this at reception, again explaining the problem and no one ever got back in touch with me to apologise. The treatments are good but rooms by the entrance to the gym can be extremely loud and you can hear a door banging every 5 minutes if it’s busy. A good treatment ruined by bad customer service and a room that isn’t suitable to be used for relaxing massage/facials etc.

Facilities are fabulous but I have to say service was not up to standard.

We arrived and ordered coffee at the bar while filling in the cards. Coffee took half an hour to arrive.

Eventually we were shown lockers etc and were told to make our way to the serenity room which we had booked. We waited for 10 mins for someone to come eventually decided just to go in. There were dirty towels all over and not enough clean glasses.

A girl eventually arrived and asked if everything was ok but they still did not clean the area.

However the girls who did the treatments were extremely professional and made us very comfortable and relaxed.

The pool area was lovely and helpful staff there.

Restaurant staff were friendly but a little disorganised.

Very poor front hotel staff giving Misleading information saying full use of spa is included in price and then going to spa firstly getting sent back to room to get the paper part of room key?? Before allowed in then not allowed in the twilight spa part as wrong colour band? Which would have booked on arrival to hotel if this was explained now to say it’s fully booked. First time here for husbands birthday and not impressed especially for the price

Such a let down when could be such a beautiful place. Badly organised and such bad customer service received after being misled when booking. Had some communication with management but then now having emails ignored, true reflection of poor service won’t return.

Not worth the money you pay, food was undercooked and cold when served, took over half an hour for the food to come out, staff are bad mannered, ( except the young ladies on the front reception desk they were lovely and polite ), room was a good size but had a few bugs ... only half decent thing was the Spa area.



Wouldn’t recommend, just go to Seaham hall instead guys ... you actually get what you pay for there.

My husband tried to book a spa package and overnight stay for my birthday surprise but the receptionist was not able to occomidate this. Why you can't book a spa day and an overnight stay is beyond me. You would think the hotel would appreciate the custom but clearly not.

I've been to the spa a few times and have had an amazing experiance but your customer service clearly needs an update.

I really didn't want to have to write a review on social media but as it's been nearly two weeks since I had any response I have no choice! Me and my best friend were booked in for a spa day and night for Mother's Day I love the spa we had a nice meal and nights stay . We got up early and headed down for breakfast where we were welcomed by the staff with a full on brawl and bitch fest between staff! To the point where I had to go over and ask the woman involved if she was ok to which she replied 'its so bad in here' I found it extremely unprofessional that the staff were arguing in front of guests as we left the girl on the desk asked if we enjoyed our stay we said yes but told her what happened and about the man involved she said she would pass on the comments. We then sat and waited to check out when a woman then went on the telephone to tell the man to come to reception they all then stood there sniggering and whispering with the man in question stood there!! Was extremely uncomfortable and awkward and bearing in mind I never asked to make a complaint!!! We left feeling extremely embarrassed and upset! I was so angry I called to speak to a manager who I told the whole incident too his response was 'well I wasn't there so I don't know' . As a business owner myself if my staff acted this way I would be absolutely mortified. Extremely unprofessional I have stayed at ramside 6 times but never again after how awkward and uncomfortable I was made to feel. Staff totally let down this lovely spa
