We are also committed to supporting educational initiatives and competitions which promote skills in science and engineering, such as the VEX Robotics system.

Flint High School is supporting the fight against the spread of the Coronavirus with a donation of 800 pairs of safety glasses created by its Science Department to help protect front line workers from possible infection.
The school’s Design & Technology Department are inviting volunteers to help make many more visors desperately needed. You can download the visor specification here:

... Using a specially developed design made from simple, low cost and environmentally friendly materials, the process is straightforward and the final product is lightweight and robust.
Rapid Education was happy to help out in a small way with a donation of materials.
The school asked the professionals (NEWCES - North East Wales Community Equipment Store, Hawarden) about the suitability & usefulness of the visor and they are eager for many more!
When the need for the visors in the UK reduces, the school plans to keep making them for developing countries that may not have any access to materials and other suitable PPE.
