After the 5th and 6th stages of the RAS took place over the weekend, the team once again put in a great performance overall. Last years Champ Tony Kiss was the highest placed team rider in 7th place with Tom Crouch finishing off a fantastic race only 2 places down in 9th. David Griffiths came home in a solid 24th and Mark Flay finishing in 57th to round off a great team effort. The Team also finished 3rd in the Team GC.
Tony may not have won the overall GC again this year but... he did claim a new title after he was crowned KOM 2013 and also finished 2nd in the points competition! Well done Tony!
A Massive thanks to tom and David for there amazing efforts supporting the team and stepping in at the last minute. you really have done yourselves and us proud. Finally a massive well done to Mark Flay who, after an unsure build up to the RAS, put in a courageous effort and had a great ride overall.
We done everyone and thanks to everyone who supported the team durring the race. Well done all.

Stage 3 of the Race. Tony Kiss makes a 55 mile break and holds on to take the Stage win in his usual crazy style!! He gains about 30 seconds over the bunch which will move him up on GC but he also took the KOM Jersey. The champ is back on its folks!!
TTT to come later on and then updated GC results soon after. Come on lads, smash it like you did last year!!!

Stage one of the RAS 2013, Prologue ITT - Support rider David Griffiths takes 15th, Defending champ tony Kiss finishes 24th, Tom Crouch in 33rd and Mark Flay in 80th.
Stage 2 Road Stage - tom Crouch gets in to th winning break and finished 7th and gaining 2 minutes on the Bunch. Tony broke away on his own to finish one minute down on the break but one minute up on the bunch.
GC looks like this; Tom Crouch sits in 7th 1.37 down and Tony sits in 11th 2.52 down. All still to play for!

When we said it was a close 2nd place for Mark on Sunday we weren't kidding! As Mark put it; He lost by a Nats Pube!!

Team rider Mark Flay puts in a superb weekend effort which was rewarded with 2 fine placings. Saturday saw Mark compete in the Six Hills RR where he finished 10th in the bunch sprint after working hard to bring back breaks throughout the race. Today Mark completed in the Performance Cycles RR in Gloucestershire where he was pipped to 2nd place by half a wheel!!! A fabulous ride and no doubt his first win of the season will be just around the corner.

Check out this very informative and detailed blog written by one of RPC's very own Clients, Laura Morgan. Laura has been with us for a little while and recently decided to take the plunge and invest in a power meter!!!! I thinks its fair to say that her training and performance are about to be taken to the next level. Well done Laura and keep up the fine blog. http://mooleur.blogspot.com

Will took 3rd at the Shrewsbury circuits yesterday behind a Madison Genisis 1-2 and Joe Charley took 2nd at the sane venue in his race after breaking away and riding solo for 30 laps! Good weekend and much more to come. Evesham vale next weekend so we will see how the boys fair in there first proper road race of the season.

Tony Kiss rounds of a quality year by taking 18th in the National Hill Climb Champs out of a 144 rider field. Tony completed the punchy climb in 2.45, the winning rider, Jack Pillar, rode it in 2.21. Fabulous ride.

New blog site for the new season and as a first post I thought I would do something to potentially help you through the winter. Happy Riding!

The Longland Classic is all done and dusty. Tony pulled out a fab Time Trial placing 6th which put him in a solid 5th place overall. A great result given the that the race is very TT focused and sees a lot of the UK's top Testers come out to play as well as a few elite road racers.

The champ, Tony Kiss does it again. Racing in the TLI Glen Longland Downtown 2 day classic, Tony stormed to 3 place in the opening prologue and then went on to win the Road Race! With one day to go and some tough competition, can he hold on for the overall? His ability says yes but will he have some luck on his side? Keep posted to find out.

Tony Kiss takes 6th at his penultimate race of the year in the Reg Pee Memorial Road Race hosted by Solihull CC. Tony made several attacks and efforts in order to break away but as a heavily marked rider this was made very difficult. It all came down to a sprint for second place after a rider stayed clear in the final few miles. Tony battled his way to a fine and well deserved 6th place and now looks ahead to next weekends Derby Mercury RR which will mark the end of what has been a truly fantastic road race season for RPC's golden boy. Hill Climb season next though!
