The weather doesn’t look like it’s going to improve today 😢. We contacted all customers yesterday to pre warn about the high winds forecast for this weekend and we were hoping that the winds would slow down. Unfortunately they haven’t, so we will be contacting all customers that have outdoor bookings with us this weekend to confirm cancellations.
The maximum safe working wind speeds for inflatables as stated by British Health & Safety regulations BS EN14960 states that inflat...ables must not be erected in wind speeds greater than 19mph (force 5 on the Beaufort Scale) when setup on grass and much lower wind speeds/wind gusts when setup on a hard surface. The wind speeds and gusts forecast (by BBC Weather, Met Office, XC Weather & MetroGroup) this weekend are in excess of 35mph on Saturday and 45mph on Sunday. We take the health and safety of our customers and our staff very seriously at Rascals Castles and with that in mind we would be unable to erect our inflatables outside this weekend.
