Had the pleasure of being on the panel for the Wakelet: Startup Stories event last night. Loved the energy, the honest and meaningful sharings, and the new connections made. Its odd to be on a panel, sharing my story and speaking to the audience rather than being in the audience myself. I guess you could say we've gone from rats to riches? Exciting times ahead as we officially announce our partnership with Accentuate Games Ltd‼️ 🎉🔥🙌😊 Rats to Riches is the first external game to be licensed to Accentuate, who have previously relied on internal talent for their other games. With Accentuate being a Dragon's Den winner, and the company having already an extensive distribution network, we are confident that this partnership would be super for us:)

Hi everyone! We are using this post to bring you up to speed on the launch plan with Rats to Riches😄 . Originally we said that we would launch the final version of the game in October, through a Kickstarter campaign. While it is definitely still possible to execute one in this time, we have decided NOT to go ahead with the original plan😭 Its for good reasons though: first, we want to make sure we have a game that is absolutely rock solid and super refined, and we do need just... abit more time for that. Second, we got approached by a game publisher (woohoo!) who wanted us to license Rats to Riches to them. After some thought, we said yes! These guys already have an extensive distribution and retail network in places that we feel really fit the demographic suited for the game, and the deal we have with them means that we can hit retail stores by March 2019! Awesome stuff🙌 At this juncture, and given the option if going directly to retail, we feel that a Kickstarter campaign would slow us down, and have thus decided against going for it. Met Lye Wen Song Xeo from Capital Gains Studio, a local game designer and publisher (one of the rare few) at the Singapore Toy Games and Comics Convention earlier today. Had a pretty long chat about game design, the industry, and the local scene for board games development, which has been really insightful tbh. . Tried Cryptocurrency, their latest game (now live on Kickstarter for another 2 days!!!) and have to say its pretty good:) plays very similar to Stockpile. Leaving our mark in the Singapore board game scene with our partnership with The Mind Cafe (Singapore); it was an absolute joy working with them, and we owe it to them for putting in the effort to push Rats to Riches to the local community. Patch Notes Summary:... 🌈All Sewer Cards combined into a SINGLE DECK. . 🧀No more buying cheese; players take 3 cheese per turn for free. . 💥Red Cards reworked as Opportunities, which include more positive stuff like Insurance and Flush, rather than being pure EVIL. . 🏘Pipes rebalanced: made them more expensive, and took away Double Pipes, so it doesn't scale out of control anymore. . 🎆All Purple Cards reworked (wow). . ⚡️Fewer, more focused Events. Reworked Inflation and Sewer Surprise.
