Rattray Stud

We are a small rattery based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Our aim is to breed healthy rats with excellent temperaments, for both pet and show. We currently breed for Russian blue, in dumbo and top-ear, with both rex and smooth coats, and also for pink-eyed martens. We had our first litter in May 2011 and achieved our stud name in 2013.

Rattray Rattery is our registered rattery name. It is not an NFRS stud name, simply one that is used to identify the rats that we breed. However, we are registered with the National Fancy Rat Society, as well as the Yorkshire Rat Club and the Scottish Rat Club. Rattray is our surname, so it was a given that we would use it as our rattery name! We are both on the YRC committee, and Kate is also an SRC committee member. We have been involved in, and continue to support, rat rescue.
