ATTENTION all Pilots! URGENT ACTION REQUIRED!
We have just been notified of an update from the CAA with regard to PPL / LAPL Medicals.
The CAA have issued a 7 month exemption against the requirement to hold a PPL / LAPL Medical for flying.
... However, in order to continue to fly once the restrictions have been lifted, you must complete a self-declaration on, or prior to 8th April 2020.
This is simple and easy to do and the details can be found in ORS4 No.1370 (please follow the attached link) and / or on the CAA website.

Thanks so much to everyone who shared their favourite flying pics / videos last week. It was great looking through them all 😃
So, how about we share our favourite navigation routes? Do you like to fly to a destination that embraces a few challenges? Perhaps a leg that requires a MATZ crossing or flying around the outside of restricted airspace? Maybe you just like the views en-route or the approach to the destination airfield is slightly complex?
Whatever your reasons for f...lying to a particular destination, please do share with us all and keep us inspired.
To get you going, RVRN flew from Liverpool to Newquay last October and back via Haverford West. The route embraced a few fair challenges including a MATZ crossing through Shawbury, zone transit through Gloucester and Cardiff airspace. Cardiff was particularly busy that day, which meant close contact with Radar and maneouvering to higher altitudes to make space for inbound commercial traffic.
On the way back to Liverpool, the arrival and departure from Haverford West required careful consideration of the local noise abatement procedures.
The trip took 7 hours total airborne time, lots of lovely views, radio contact with various services and some experience building challenges along the way.
So now it is over to you all 🙂 3, 2, 1 share away 👨‍✈️👩‍✈️🛫
