It’s incredible that this is still the case, considering the impact of T2 diabetes, obesity and CVD in the U.K. and on NHS budgets. In most traditional medical systems, nutrition was key. I think the birth of the pharmaceutical industry probably changed the landscape.

Is this idea of 400:600:600 calories actually backed up by research? Or is it yet another oversimplification that we just need to cut calories to simply cut obesity, without taking into effect WHEN we eat, WHAT we eat, lifestyle etc.? For how long has that drum been banged now?
