Readings Greengrocers Description
Readings Greengrocers has been a family tradition for 4 generations, supplying fresh produce to Braintree and surrounding areas. In recent years our wholesale business has expanded to supply some of the top restaurants, pubs, residential care homes and schools throughout Essex and we constantly looking for new challenges.
In 2014 we opened our Sales Counter at 24 Springwood Drive, Braintree, with the aim of supplying top quality produce to the local community at wholesale prices! We stock seasonal produce as well as some more exotic items, so ditch the supermarkets and visit us today. . . you won't be disappointed! !

Visited yesterday for the first time. The veg box was not only superb value, but really good quality produce. The staff member was friendly and helpful, even spotting a slightly marked parsnip and telling me to pick another as she disposed of it - don't get that in a supermarket! Strawberries, cost more than I would usually pay, but were well worth it, as they were delicious Also purchased bananas, pears and apples which my children are demolishing. Will definitely be back next week, if not before
The new potatoes I had the other day, where just like the ones out of my gardads garden. Yum. The oranges I brought tasted like oranges, and the bananas were not woody. Will be using readings from now on. :)

Finally managed to pop in here on a Tues. Service was fab, prices great and the difference in taste to my usual shop brought stuff was amazing! Thank you. Will definitely be back!

Can't beat fresh fruit and veg always helpful and friendly and the new unit has plenty of stock.
Bought three boxes yesterday morning brilliant amount of produce. Defiantly worth the money paid. Will be back x
Bought the three boxes this morning (veg, salad and fruit)and I'm absolutely thrilled. Great quality produce , great variety and and the cauliflower was huge. I'm definetly coming every week!!!!!
Bought my lovely free range eggs and some fruit here yesterday. Very friendly, helpful staff and was really pleased with the prices.
