In light of the utterly rubbish weather forecast for tomorrow (Saturday 22nd) we have made the decision not to open. We should be open again on Sunday although possibly a bit later than usual if it’s still awful in the morning as forecast. Hurrah for the sun coming back on Monday!

It’s all been a bit Poldark-y round the corner in Charlestown this week and local photographer James managed to get some cracking shots!

We are very lucky here in Cornwall to be at the cutting edge of the fight against ocean plastics. One of the organisations we work with is Beach Guardian, they provided our can recycling bin in association with Every Can Counts and a donation is made to Beach Guardian by the scrap merchant for each sack of cans we recycle with them. Yesterday Emily from Beach Guardian made the news with her statement crisp packet dress as she graduated from her degree in Marine Biology. She's an absolute inspiration to young and old and we applaud her for her dedication to the cause.

We have now finalised our opening hours through to the end of October. All opening remains weather dependent as we can’t open if it’s really windy and/or really rainy. We’ve got some exciting new events planned for this year so watch this space for details.
