Real Time Live is Chesterfield's only dedicated live music venue!
The Real Time Live Venue is located above the Real Time Music store and is a high quality, purpose built, live music venue in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, UK.
Designed by musicians, Real Time Live is focused on becoming a key venue on the live music circuit by providing high quality facilities to both customers and artists.
The fully equipped and engineered sound stage has a high specification in-house PA, monitor system and professional standard lighting rig, with availability of backline and drum kit if required for touring bands.
Artists have the use of a high quality private dressing room with complimentary drinks and covered outdoor smoking area.
With capacity for 250 persons, the fully licensed venue provides customers with excellent services and is very close to all town centre facilities including shops, restaurants, hotels and guest houses, local and national bus and rail transport and vehicle parking - also easily accessed from Junction 29 of the M1 motorway.

Went for the first time last nite (27th dec). Was awesum!!! Thanks to my sis for buying me a ticket! Defo going again! Venue was what venues shud b like for live bands. Soooo much better than anywhere ive been to see a live band in the past.
We (Van Hailen) played our first gig at Real Time on Saturday and absolutely loved it, what a brilliant venue. Hats off to Stevo for the vision and passion putting together such a superb set up (and he's a top bloke to boot). Thanks to him, Mark, Joe and the rest of the staff for making us welcome. We're back in September and we can't wait!
Support band Hush were really good, and the venue is fantastic (gent's toilets a little small being the only fault). Livewire were as good as ever but sad to see that Brian is leaving the band. Excellent night, will go again. � �
Staff are the best after the owners. Best music going.
Saturday night was my second time there, both times have been fantastic. We came to watch Towards the Sun and came away smiling, laughing & with my ears buzzing �.
The staff are so friendly, the venue is great & the sound system was phenomenal.
We'll definitely be back.
Lovely venue, well run, good beer selection very good sound. Can’t ask for more really. Looking forward to returning

Ive played this venue with 3 different bands no less than 5 times now and it's great. As a performer and a fan of live music. The stage is big, the sound is great, there's no obstructions between the fans/band.
As its more catered for bands than a pub the drinks selection isn't massive but all the standards are there. Only very fussy drinkers would complain. The parking isn't great either but there's nothing the venue can do about that so i wont mark it down. There are 3 car parks less than 100 yards away though. I fully recommend you see a band there or try to get your band booked in.
I went to this fine venue for the first time last night to see U2UK. The beer was in excellent condition, I can recommend the Punk IPA! The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. It is clear that the venue was designed by musicians for musicians and live music fans. The view of the stage is unobstructed, the sound is great and the venue is well laid out. With the calibre of bands who have played in the past and are coming up, this venue will soon be as well known and well respected as places like The Half Moon in Putney and The Flowerpot, Derby. Venues such as RTL should be supported. Keep music live.
Great venue. Well appointed sound and lighting systems and lovely staff. Not to mention a good variety behind the bar. A welcoming environment that allows you to have a great night out.
Great venue as a gig photographer its nice to come to a venue and be treated so well the lighting is always a problem but not here and as a music lover the sound was spot on.
Great place to see gigs, friendly staff, the bar's not over-priced. These guys are trying to put something back to the town in terms of giving bands/artists a place to hone their chops.

From the 1st day it opened with Arizona the music venue as gone from strength to strength, a big pat on back for steve well done, Realtime live Rocks �
Fantastic venue, Steveo is a top guy! Along with the rest of the real friendly stuff, great sound, stage, and lighting....made our first time playing there, a real pleasure! New Generation Superstars will be back!....cheers AJ xx

Attended Real Time Live from Doncaster to watch Marco Mendoza. Just wanted to say the venue is excellent. Great size, acoustics, sound and lights. Looks like someone had a vision and it's great to see. Will be back. Credit to the town

Absolutely superb, purpose built, Live music venue. Great for playing (as a band) and just as good watching as an audience member. The staff are all extremely friendly and totally awesome ! ;-) and everything you need on a night out is under one roof (except food, but that's what kebab shops are for !) The best live music venue in Chesterfield, bar none. Keep up the good work folks xx
Didn't even get to see the gig we booked for last night.. I worked in the bar industry for 9 years and let me tell you I've never EVER met a manager with such a foul attitude.. I'm sure they'll be pleased to know we won't go back again...
