About Really Wild Learning
Really Wild Learning is an ethical, conservation based animal encounter business that teaches children about wildlife. We offer animal encounters, school workshops, events performances and attend birthday parties.
Really Wild Learning Description
Really Wild Learning is an educational animal encounter business formed with children in mind. It's main aim is to get people connected and involved with wildlife through educational and fun based learning. We believe that all animals are important to our planet and that the only way to promote conservation and respect is through positive up-close animal interaction.
Really Wild Learning was formed by Kim Insull an art teacher of 14 years with a University degree in photography and lifetime of experience with animals. We specialise in school workshops, children's birthday parties and events.

Happy Christmas from Kim and the Really Wild Learning crew!
Gino the bearded dragon getting fully involved in a Really Wild Learning aboriginal art workshop! π¨
When Sir David Attenborough talks with such passion about this critical issue it really is time for world leaders to listen and act now!
This is why I love doing Really Wild Learning birthday parties π¦ππ
Finally some good wildlife news! Captive breeding can be part of the solution although we definitely need to preserve natural habitats worldwide for all our amazing animals to live in :)
Very scary stuff (no link to Halloween)! The quote "Nature is not a βnice to haveβ β it is our life-support systemβ really sums up why everybody globally should care and why current environmental issues make many political issues seem rather insignificant by comparison.
It is pretty cold out there, luckily Really Wild Learning has already got some spring / summer bookings to look forward to including a return to Pigstock 2019, live music festival, free kids entertainment ππΈπ’ Looking forward to showing off some of our amazing animals and seeing Andy Day ! π
Coast to coast for Really Wild Learning tomorrow as we head south to Seaton Library before moving onto Axminster Library. Always fun for me and my animal crew to meet new people and explore beautiful Devon on our travels. Sunshine and more Devon Libraries bookings, reminds me of the summer? π¦πββοΈπππ¦
Happy #ReptileAwarenessDay from the Really Wild Learning team. This diverse group of animals never fail to impress me and I absolutely love introducing them to as many people as possible. π¦ππ
This amazing photograph was taken by one of my top photography students. It is a close up of one of the Really Wild Learning Leopard Gecko's and has just bagged him the Royal Society of Biology Young Photographer of the Year 2018 prize. Pretty impressive news and a bit of BBC news coverage for Norman the Gecko ! π¦π
Wow, these animal encounter sessions at Kiddywinks Neighbourhood and Nursery and Pre School were so much fun. The children loved meeting the animals and had no fear. Lots of smiles and laughing, it really was the perfect day. Many thanks to the amazing staff, supportive parents and animal crazy youngsters. πππ¦
Me and my animal team are so excited about our visit to Kiddywinks Neighbourhood and Nursery and Pre School tomorrow. Everybody knows that the Really Wild Learning creatures love meeting amazing kids! ππ·οΈπ¦π¦π
Really sad news yesterday that Johnny Kingdom had died. I remember first watching him when I lived away feeling very home sick and desperate to move back to Devon. He was enthusiastic and passionate about Exmoor's wildlife and demonstrated that whatever your background an appreciation and respect for nature can bring people together. A true local legend has been lost. π¦π₯
I can't believe that is was a week ago today that Really Wild Learning was presenting 3 shows (all sold out) at RHS Garden Rosemoor. Many thanks to everybody who came to see the show and meet some of our amazing animals. I would also like to thank the fantastic staff for being so welcoming. ππ¦π¦π·οΈπ’
Another fun Library visit, what a busy summer! ππ¦π¦π·οΈπ

Really Wild Learning will be at St Thomas Library - Exeter, Pinhoe Library - Exeter, Honiton Library, Ottery St Mary Library and Dawlish Library over the next few days and my animal A Team are super excited! ππ¦π¦π·οΈ

had great time today at Ilfracombe Library kiddies from three to ten loved every minute of it :)
Went to Holsworthy library with my 3 year old today to see this. Kim was great and my son loved it, especially the milk snake!!!
We had Kim over this afternoon for my little boys birthday...it was a great success! The children all had plenty of time with the animals and were keen to learn from Kim. Even the nervous ones found their brave! Many thanks for a great party.
We had "Really Wild Learning" visit our Library in Ilfracombe today :) It was Fantastic! And Kim is a natural with the children. look forward to working with Kim and his friends again in the future :)
Took my children aged 4 and 2 along to a session at Barnstaple Library and couldn't have been more impressed! Kim pitched it perfectly for the huge range of age groups there, shared a wealth of knowledge about all the creatures he had with him and made sure everyone who wanted to got a chance to hold, touch or stroke the animals. Both my children were completely captivated by the whole experience - would definitely recommend! We will be looking to see Kim and his animals again soon! Thank you for a great morning!
Our son loves wildlife and he loved his birthday party!

Fantastic day of photography today: learning how to use light and set up photos of Kimβs reptiles. Kim is very engaging, enthusiastic and an excellent facilitator giving enough advice and also letting us just get on and take loads of photos too. Thoroughly recommend one of his classes. Thank you for an excellent day.
Fab fab fab !! Kim came along to our sons birthday, very knowledgable and engaging for the children. Kept them interested throughout, would highly recommend. Thank you so much οΏ½οΏ½ X
Birthday Parties!
Best Birthday Ever! The words of my daughter after Kim came with his crawly friends. I asked her why? And she said, it was great because she got to handle the animals so much and often and learn all about them.
She has been to a range of similar birthdays and for this cost, information, access to animals and Kim, it was the best so far.
Kim is great with the kids and because he is a teacher is able to teach and enable them to have fun at the same time. I got to sit back and enjoy the party too, because he had them eating out of his hand! Best birthday for me too!
