Reason Now Description

We believe that many things need to change in the world and you can achieve those changes through education, community and getting people to Thrive! This isn't to say that things aren't better than they've ever been, they are, but we have challenges ahead. Please read on.

Reason Coffee Shop & Bookstore is a Social Enterprise Business that promotes #L4GBuyLocalWatford, we support Green and sustainability campaigns.
Join the http://www. greenparty.org. uk / if you are fed up with the status quo and want to change the world.
The neoliberals have failed us with the pyramid scheme that is neoliberal capitalism and we need a new way for the no growth, no job world that is fast approaching and that must include a Basic Citizens Income and free education for all irrespective of age.

We believe in the empowerment of women and lending Kiva micro loans to women around the world, come and join us in empowering women here http://www. kiva.org/team /reason check out our video here https://www. youtube.com/watch?v=pzcUNfmO-VM

We believe we need to rebuild inclusive communities to Thrive so we also work closely with http://link4growth. biz /l4g /hertfordshire /south-west / a community building group. Check out their website for a group near you.

Where ever possible we support local charities.

We are soon to become a CIC with a portion of our profits going raise awareness of the ground breaking http://thriveprogramme.org/ a programme to help people understand and manage their thinking patterns. It's excellent for depression, fears, phobias and for people with low self esteem or social anxiety.
We will also be holding fund raising events so we can sponsor people to take the Thrive Programme.

We value reason, evidence and science.
Always #AskForEvidence and we are NOT fans of pseudoscience, homeopathy or woo woo!
Tim Minchin can explain this better than we can.

We are Secular Humanists believing that everyone should be treated equally, that the idea of sin is a man made construct.
We live our lives by the golden rule where ever possible "treat others how you would like to be treated"
Are you a Humanist? Take the quiz to find out.

We love a debate and value freedom of speech, believing that bad ideas should not be banned, but defeated with better ideas.

So overall we see ourselves as a place for people to come and meet like minded people and to Thrive!

Welcome!

52% of people want a People's Vote and only 24% oppose a confirmation vote.
Politicians who oppose a referendum on the deal will be held accountable at the ballot box.

We'll said Lammy, we are in the middle of an extreme right wing coup and the BBC are complicit by giving these people air time.
Never appease, always remember Cable Street.

So brexit is for the ordinary person on the street is it? Ever felt had? https://bit.ly/2P3iJd4

Standing next to a racist doesn’t make you a racist, but not confronting one at a rally being held in your name probably does. Between “white is normal” and “white is right” is a very fine line.
