All week Recharge young people took part in a intensive drama project with a theatre company called Unlock Drama, they worked on a performance that on Friday they performed to two separate audiences. The whole play was written and performed by Steph, Paige and Melissa and was based around the story of Snow White only with a twist, it focused on highlighting the issues young people face growing up in Telford today, housing, families and substance use. It was a powerful emotion...al performance and we are so proud of the work and effort the group put in. We would also like to say thank you to Becky, Naomi and Liv from Unlock Drama who led the week long project. Here are some of the pictures taken throughout the week, practicing, rehearsals and the day of the performance. Day two and final day of our fishing course, thank you Jon Portman for providing Recharge yet again with your knowledge and skills in angling. Two dedicated youngsters Sam and Liam turned up this morning in the pouring rain for the second day of coaching, a massive well done for making the effort to come lads and we are glad that you got so much out of this years fishing course which we had dedicated to Dylan Brassington. Every year Recharge runs a fishing project designed to give young people the opportunity to learn how to fish. We are very fortunate to have this run by top local angling coach Jon Portman, this year we are dedicating the fishing project to a young man who is sadly no longer with us Dylan Brassington. Dylan loved fishing and his mom Liz donated money earlier this year to Recharge so we felt it was only right that it should go to this activity in memory of Dylan. Here are some photos from today of Sam, Becks, Liam and Kieran feeling proud with what they caught. Kieran landed the biggest fish of the day by far ! we will all be back at Stirchley Top Pool tomorrow for a second day of coaching.

Recharge boxing is on a summer break to give our dedicated coaches some time off, everyone involved with running our boxing doe's it on a voluntary basis and this worthwhile activity wouldn't run without it. Last Friday we took the boxing group to the Len Woodall Boxing Club in Hills lane Madeley, to see what its like having a go at sparring in the ring. They all did so well and completed a hard 2 hour session led by Coach Dave Harris, the star of the day had to be Bev the only girl who took part and didn't shy away from any of the lads in the boxing ring and she took some hard knocks, she is a true sportswoman. Later Recharge took the coaches out for a thank you meal at Zizzi's, here's some of the pics.

We have had such a busy week at Recharge, starting with two Recharge youngsters achieving their Non Contact Boxing Tutors Award at The Right Stuff Community Gym in Stafford, well done to Beveley and Liam and so pleased to have them on board volunteering at the Recharge boxing at Brookside Community Centre. Saturday we helped with Jon Portman's Access-2-Angling fishing festival, were 80 young people and adults with additional needs all got a chance to have a go at fishing tau...ght by expert coaches. Finally Sunday we took part in The Carnival of Giants Parade at Telford Town Centre, we had a rainbow banner that was made by Recharge group members, we have had great fun being involved with the local community, we will keep you updated of up and coming events for the summer including the Recharge fishing project and our Drama project with Unlock Drama !!

Didnt know what or who 'Recharge' is, so glad i googled it. Praise goes out to all the volunteers trying to help our young who may be going through hard times. Hope the organisation grows as i'm sure there's many youngsters who would benefit from this support. Well Done all
