Today we held our annual graduation for all the children who will be going off to big school soon! They put on a special performance for all their mummies and daddies! We wish you all the luck when you move onto big school. 🎓

Today we had our annual deep clean! All the staff came in to clean and refresh the nursery. We were joined by D&I cleaners who helped to give the nursery a deep clean and we also had our carpet in our baby room cleaned. We can’t wait for the children and parents to see the nursery on Monday morning!

I wanted to just drop you a note to say how happy we have been with Red Balloon so far. The staff in the Nest are all incredibly friendly and fill me with such confidence. The handovers are always informative and clear. My child clearly feels happy there and I have seen a huge leap in her development since she joined. Gemma is a fabulous key worker and always seems totally calm and in control of that room. She has really enabled a super smooth integration for my child – so mu...ch so it feels like we have been part of the Red Balloon world for much longer than 3 months!
Compared to other nursery experiences we have had I have to say that the impact of clear Leadership is also utterly clear. The communications are regular and detailed. Even little things like the ‘team shout out’ section on the newsletter indicates the fact that staff are recognised and appreciated. I am quite sure that having you at the helm makes a huge difference to the nursery having clear direction and support.

We had a wonderful afternoon on Friday 29th March, with the first of a few celebrations marking 15 years of Red Balloon in the community. We are so pleased that we had such amazing weather which allowed us all to descend on Pains Hill park for the afternoon.
Children, staff and families joined us to plant just over 210 trees in a beautiful paddock to the side of the forest school. Pains Hill were amazing and had staff on hand to teach us how to plant the trees and to help t...he children learn about what trees they were planting. Even Cherry from from Cherry Trees our local charity came along to entertain the children and to help us plant some trees!
Families from across all three settings then gathered to listen to a few words from the Mayor of Elmbridge, Abby one of the nursery owners and to Paul Griffiths director at Pains Hill. Pains Hill have been fantastic at organising this event alongside us and we are pleased to continue our forest school offering to the children through them.
We then spent the afternoon accessing the forest school area and chatting to Lisa and Adam who teach the children, whilst eating a few hot dogs and staff supplying us with plenty of refreshments after all our hard work digging!!
It was so wonderful to spend the time with all the families and to celebrate this milestone in Red Balloon history! Keep an eye out in the Surrey advertiser for the article and for more photos.

What a wonderful time we had celebrating Mother’s Day! We had a delicious afternoon tea with our mummies and grannies. Thank you everyone who attended! ☕️

We are so grateful to work with such a wonderful charity who is also able to support us and our children! Debbie from Cherry Trees UK visited us after Red Balloon Cobham - Children's Day Nursery where she led a circle time to educated our children about disabilities and how we are all unique.
