We had a great trip both going to the Isle of Wight and returning to the mainland. Everything went smoothly. Even though we had heavy fog on our way back. There were no problems. Enjoyed our trip xxx

Travelled with Red Funnel this weekend, amazing service, the girls at check in got me on an earlier ferry which was very lovely of them!! I will be using Red Funnel every time I travel to the Isle Of Wight!

Nice trip over in the thick fog. Good food and clean vessel. Add to that, friendly and helpful staff. We always choose to travel off the island with Red Funnel as it’s a much better service

I will only use red funnel, staff are always polite,will help you whenever they can and before travelling always send me a message with my departure time and date and return. As all my family now live on the mainland i have to rely on a ferry company and this one is the best.

For a small company I cannot fault the service especially the dancing man who waves us onto the car deck every year, love him �

Both ferries (to and from isle of wight) were bang on time. Very clean. The only thing that let the experience down 2% was the off ramp for the lorries at Southampton wasn't gritted prior to the ferry arriving and all the artic trucks struggled to get up the ramp in the snow

Amazing service from the guys... Van broke down in Southampton, allowed us to be towed on and the 6 of them very kindly and cheerfully pushed us off... ensuring that we were safe and ready to be towed home! Great service �

Always have a good journey when I travel with Red Funnel, the staff are helpful and polite and it was great to see some special offer £25 each way car tickets up for grabs this year for the festival - very well done Red Funnel!

Smooth ride. Over priced in the cafe but to be expected. Was a scrum getting on the boat out bound , every man for himself situation getting a chair, would of been nicer if when purchasing your ticket you get a seat on allocation , but as there was a cafe I guess the company took theses seats into consideration instead as valid seats . Makes for a bit of an uncomfortable ride like this .However once you know this you make sure you get to the seating decks early on your way back ! Only takes an hour too !

Service was great, managed to get back on an earlier ferry but unfortunately blocked in, so couldn’t open the door to get out, so had to clamber out the other door! Not ideal, would’ve rated 5 stars but for that !!

Oh .. Isle of Wight side.. please make an effort and look a bit happier! We’re supposed to welcome people not look down right miserable!

Southampton side.. you were great !!

New new Signature lounge is an extra £10 each but it right at the top of the spferry ( lift available) and you get several cups of coffee and pastries, good WiFi, newspapers and books, and a modern and bright lounge with comfy seating no queuing.

Red Funnel hurry up and acquire those crummy houses and pub at East Cowes and make your ferry terminal a larger and modern area.

Extend the Southampton site too by knocking down that decrepit old piercand make us all proud😍

Loading staff were friendly and helpful, getting on and off was quick and simple, staff on board were great and the seating area was clean and comfortable. Only down side was the prices of food. I will definitely use Red Funnel car ferry again and will recommend them to anyone

In the last wk I've had to use both red jet and car ferry (due to weather) a fair bit as my father in the spire.

Obviously this has cost me a fortune which I don't begrudge, but on one of my journeys I arrived at 7.30 for the 7.45 jet which ended up being cancelled, so had to sit in the freezing cold waiting room (It was an exceptionally cold evening pre snow). Once on the jet oh my god how cold was it!

Then yesterday I had to travel via car ferry as the snow forced red jets to be cancelled, and again the car ferry on both crossings was freezing even some of the staff were heard saying how cold they were.

Why red funnel are ur vessels so cold? X

I suppose I expected the Car Ferry to be packed after all it was the first Saturday after schools broke up.

I don’t really have a complaint I would like to use the signature lounge but at £10 per person I think it’s too expensive. £5 pound per person would be reasonable charge and people pay for their own coffee and cakes. But looking at the amount of space up there at 5 pound per person that just wouldn’t be enough seats available so for couples well off enough to pay an extra £40 for a return crossing on top of what is already an expensive fare. I suppose if you had kids mum and dad could go up there for peace and quiet and let the kids run riot downstairs and annoy everybody�

Can’t fault the service but it is astronomical finance wise! I have flown to Europe for less! If I didn’t have family on the island I would not visit! £72 for a weekend with a discount code!

Went to get on the ferry had walk up the car ramp cause the walking ramp wasn't working when we got to Southampton they took us down to the bottom of the ferry wasn't happy I got arthritis in both my knees and can't manage stairs very well so time i got down all the stairs my knees were killing me never got asked if anyone had problems with stairs how did they expect to get someone down if u were in a wheelchair come on red funnel fix your ramp we pay enough

To the charming young male employee who just directed a confused elderly lady to the wrong foot passenger stairwell on the 2pm from Southampton I’m glad you and your colleague found it so hilarious. It’s okay, I managed to get her to the right place for you!! Great customer service NOT! �

Loading staff were brilliant big thank you to them on the many journeys but as for the food and the girl serving disgusting I would not recommend eating on board I certainly would not recommend employing her We were forced to queue for 20 minutes without food trying to pay with your air-conditioning is blowing on our food

In a very fruitful few weeks for Red Funnel, with the launch of a fab new redjet and the lucrative lure of IW Festival, I would have thought that Red Funnel would have fixed the lifts on its vehicle ferries. Its now been 7 weeks for the Red Eagle with no end date and I'm told by staff that the other boats lift is also out of order and not yet fixed.

Yes, you have another passenger lift the other side across the boat deck. Would management care to try and experience getting there, as a wheelchair user, as someone on crutches and also a triwalker? Left until last to get off boat, no escort to make way through sardine packed cars to the other side? Even when your lifts ARE in order, they are slow & unreliable but I'd much prefer that than the shower of poor you have at the moment.
