Thank you to everyone who supported the museum by coming along to see Costermongers, Cobblers and Coffee Shops. We hope you enjoyed it. Today is it's last day open to the public. There are still tickets available for today's Tree House Theatre interactive storytelling session. This morning's story is the Golden Goose.

Photo Friday: a thatched roof is very picturesque but has to be re-thatched regularly to keep it in good condition. This is the Cat and Fiddle pub at Hinton being re-thatched in 1966.

More tickets have been released for the previously sold out sessions on the 20th Feb!

Our current exhibition closes on Saturday 1st February, so this is your last chance to pop in to see it. The exhibition was made possible thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, and through fundraising by our wonderful 'Friends' group. It really is worth a visit and suitable for the whole family.

Treehouse Theatre is back at the museum this Friday, 31st January! What better way to end the longest month of the year, than with laughter, storytelling and music. Book your tickets now so you don't miss out.

Photo Friday: this week our photograph is from 1911. The Antelope Hotel once stood at the junction of Bargates and Barrack Road at the end of the High Street. The landlord at this time was Ernest Hillyard, could that be he and his family standing outside? At some stage the Red House Museum's founder, Mr Herbert Druitt was buying up any pub signs that became available and we think he did purchase this one but where it ended up we don't know!

As a few people have asked us how to book tickets through Facebook, here's a bit of guidance. When you click on the Event you are interested in, scroll down slightly and you will see the 'Tickets' link just above the 'About' section. When you click on it you are taken to a third party site, Digitickets, and will land on Hampshire Cultural Trusts' own Digitickets page. All Hampshire Cultural Trusts venues are listed here. Click on Red House Museum and you will see all the even...ts available to book. At the moment, there are tons of amazing workshops for families, including tomorrows Storytelling Session.

If you have tried to book tickets for the Decorative Bird Feeder session but been unable, I'm happy to say the problem has been fixed and you can now carry on ordering tickets. Yay!
