Red Kite Cycles

Needed rear brake sorting. Only option put forward was £75 upwards for replacement. I said it was an old bike and I didn't want to spend much money. This was the only option.
Went online to a BIG WELL KNOWN CYCLE RETAILER and ordered a Shimano Brake assy (lever,hose,caliper) for £25 not £75. Red kite could have ordered this part for £25 and fitted for £12 but all they wanted to do was sell me expensive parts.
Bike now works a dream for a £25 online order.Wont go back.

A 'proper' bike shop with quality kit and very experienced mechanics.

Last May I wandered into this shop to have a mooch about ... and, yeah, maybe to think about buying a new bike. A lovely shop on two levels and a no rush no push attitude from the staff. Upstairs I spotted a couple of Bullfinch bikes ( hand built steel, Reynolds 853) and they looked terrific. Long story short - I've now got one. It is fantatstic. The quality and detail is spot on. I love it. Well worth waiting for (can take a few months but was waiting for the new ultegra groupset to come out). I chose the colour and Adrian helped me with the fit out (I'm not an expert). Prior to this I had a Cannondale CAAD aluminium and I thought that was special.
This Bullfinch is easily the best bike I've ever ridden. It has rejuvenated my cycling. Please consider these beautiful machines if you fancy a steel frame.

Had a Colnago frame set built here recently. Excellent service and build. The attention to detail was outstanding. Only place I will use from now on.

I like this place. No pressure to buy anything and they have everything you could need. From top end bikes through to clothing and even sorts drinks / gels etc. I've never purchased a bike from here but have bought plenty of clothing, accessories and I've had a bike service and bike fitting there that I would recommend. Good knowledge. Beginners beware

A superb bike shop offer anything from entry level cycles to top range road bikes and all equipment.

Took my MTB wheel in to have freehub replaced. After 10 days part still not arrived ( even though they are main dealers for manufacturer) and no knowledge of when it would arrive. Different story every time I rang.
Told them to forget it as service was terrible. ...
Took wheel to another LBS who got part next day delivery and fitted it while I waited - Now that is service !!
