Red Lion - Warwickshire Table Table

We go to the Red Lion quite a lot be it with our hubbies or our friends & we really enjoy the food & the staff are very pleasant & make you very welcome 👍

We booked a table for 6 for 1.30 on bank holiday Monday (1st May), we were a little late arriving due to the roads around Stratford being so busy. The staff were very understanding and we were shown to our table. We were waited on by John who gave us outstanding service, he did explain that due to how busy they were that our meals may be a little longer than usual. This wasn't a problem and was worth the wait as all our meals were lovely! Thank you John for the service you gave us, I would certainly recommend and will be going there again

Warm and welcoming on a very wet Easter Saturday. Food and service excellent. Will definitely return when next in Stratford upon Avon. Special thanks to John for finding us a table for six and looking after us ��

Visited off the cuff at lunchtime on a Friday, very pleasant staff greeted us and found us a table in the restaurant, although there were plenty of empty tables in the bar section.

The staff were very attentive and the food was perfect, having said that, my wife did mention that although she had the Beef Stew and dumplings, the stew didn’t have any vegetables, funny as how can you make a stew without vegetables, anyway, she did also say the Beef and Gravy was delicious. I endulged in the Chicken Breast with BBQ Sauce, Bacon and Cheese this came with Chips (my choice) and peas, the chicken was very moist, the peas were excellent and the chips cooked to my liking.



All in this was a very enjoyable visit, the menu is varied and the staff excellent, highly recommend if you living in or just visiting Stratford-upon-Avon

Lovely food the staff are really friendly and helpful handy car park nice place to eat had a walk along the canal afterwards

Hubby and I had burgers and a steak with nachos starter. After being told an hour wait, food came in 20 mins.....would have happily waited the hour for what came out. Beautiful steak, just how I like it. Well done guys!!!

Had a lovely meal with husband. It was lunch time and the place was full the garden as well. We had a Thai salad each and it was lovely. The staff are friendly and the place is old but clean. Good for family's as you can watch the boats going into Stratford on Avon.

Had a fab time service was good even though it was busy the staff still remained professional polite and friendly food was gorgeous price was normal pub grub price 👌🏼

Great food, lovely staff. Food arrived quickly. Big shout out to John who waited on our table he was friendly helpful and all round brilliant.

Fantastic meals served on Mothers Day, staff were amazing and hope to go back soon, beautiful setting, thank you to them and all for a beautiful day

Everything perfect staff absolutely spot on can’t do enough for you and friendly food and drinks perfect and a nice atmosphere well worth a visit you will not be disappointed 😁😁

Best Pint of Stella and Thatchers in Stratford. You will be hard pushed to find such attentive and happy staff. We had the share platter it was beaut! With crispy chips! Booking in for lunch tomorrow.

After a so so day for a beer. This pub saved the day. Great staff and good white wine at a good price ( not the tourist prices). The only thing I would improve is clearing the tables quicker and the garden is in need of a re-turf. Otherwise thankyou for saving the day.

We had a fabulous visit. One particular guy bringing meals out was fab. Nothing too much trouble and very dedicated to customer service...prices reasonable too.

Our visit was sat 24th March about 4.... 5 ish. Hope that guy gets recognised. We sat down the far end as was busy..

Good food and service disappointed that I had a bottle of wine which I was charged full price found out that the small print on the menu stated buy 2 large glasses get rest of bottle free when I queried this I was told the management insist that the staff don't make the customer aware if they order a bottle only tell customers if they order 2 SMALL glasses so they change order to 2 Large glasses rip off will not be going back.

I expected it to be as busy as it was considering its location. I think it needs a bigger bar & more staff as a big queue waiting to be served. Friendly staff but all could be a little better & a bit more choice too as you can get green king beer everywhere & their pubs usually have a guest ale but not here.

booked table do not think they could find booking.Seen this happen before.Never understand rock hard butter straight out of fridge to spread on bread. Double burger no taste to it. had pate as starter over £2 dearer than on lunch club menu but was the same as the table next to us had it on that menu
