best trasport cafe in UK, great breakfast and chip butties always a hit. Its a transport cafe after all is said and done but you cant knock it, open 24/7. Generally staff are really nice and pleasant but we have had a couple of encounters with a particular lady who was rather obnoxious and made us feel like we were in the way and luckily she's is the only one the rest of the staff are great. I havent personally stayed in the motel side of it but my friend has and she said it was very clean and comfortable and would stay again.
That it is open 24/7 I have been going since I was 11 years old and I am 45 now plus there is no locks on any door's at all it to die for
Love this place, not very romantic to some but me and the hubby love our little trips out from leeds with the little one in tow ’┐Į , never had any problems, quiche is amazing. Place is always clean, and last visit a few days ago with lovely weather, little one really enjoyed outside play area.
It's really nice in this day and age of generic eateries and hotels that are on offer on every street in the country to still have an independent gem like Redbeck.
You want a mixed grill at 3.30 a.m? You got it, the kitchen is open 24/7/365 days a year.
Coffee and cake in a comfortable chair? They got a coffee lounge,
Tea - time tipple on way home? they got a bar.
There isn't much that isn't on offer , great rooms with overnight parking, whatever the size of your vehicle.
The staff are always helpful and the service is quick, best of all you'll find the prices hard to beat.
It's much more than a motel, it's a local legend.
I've been going to Redbeck Motel on and off for 40 years. Always enjoyed it there. Prices are reasonable and the best coffee that I have ever had. Even my wife drinks coffee there and she is a dedicated tea drinker. Staff are always pleasant and the service is usually very quick. Free sweet with all main meals as well.

I first went to Redbeck 15 years ago when my then boyfriend took me after our first date.... I know what you are thinking, a truck stop for a date?!!! And no, we didn't rent a room!!! But I was introduced to the wonder that is the breakfast special. How many times have you eaten a cooked breakfast and thought to yourself "this would be so much better with chips"??? Well the date must have gone well cos I did end up marrying him, and whenever we return to sunny wakefield from deepest darkest Hull, we stop at Redbeck and I indulge in the breakfast special. It never disappoints.
First time in today. Food was lovely!! Portion size was HUGE!! Fresh and Homely. Great value for money. Staff really friendly. Was going to have the salad but allergic to cucumber :( had the daily special instead which was YUMMY!!!!

Best restaurant in Wakefield. They had an elephant out there once and the steak canadians are banging. Deffo believe the hype. You need to visit before you die. If you havenŌĆÖt been before and you live in Wakefield are you really a Wakefield person?
Been visiting this place for many years and seen it change quite a lot. Nowhere else on earth do you get hotter than the sun beans on toast and it is ready before you have sat down.

Food is always served in plentiful portions, a proper oasis in the desert of darkest Wakefield ’┐Į
Normally just pop in for a coffee when on my bike, but when I do eat, the breakfasts are nice, the meals are addiquate but sometimes the veg can be a bit bland but you get plenty, the staff are always cheerful and will entertain a bit of cheeky banter, give them a bit of due as most times its quite full and can be a like a madhouse.
Its a good place for a meal they do very good food why not go along and try it for your self see what your thorts are with the meals
Went yesterday 25 march at 11.20 am ordered breakfast and cup of tea place was very busy with wakefield 10 k.Service was very good meal came quickly good portion but meal was just warm it should be piping hot.
Went for a brunch type meal I had a full breakfast and my wife had a sandwich, both were really nice and excellent value. the coffee was how we like it hot and the food came quick so could enjoy them both together. there is plenty of seating areas which give different types or atmosphere which we found very nice. there is plenty of parking spaces for cars and larger vehicles. On the down side were we were sat the table next to us had used plates and cups on it and in the time we were there it did not get cleaned. all in all service was good and food also good will deffo go there again.
Long time customer. Minimum card fee which previous time I went only wanted a sandwich, to pay by card, told minimum sale for card is 5 quid so went elsewhere. Prices are a little high for size of portions but it's open 24 hours so I guess we pay a little extra thru the day to subsidise keeping it open at night. Yesterday got quiche, menu said with chips, salad or beans, once served waitress asked if I wanted a sweet. I thought she was trying to sell me more food, was never told it's free with quiche
The food is edible, when pissed, it is a greese plate with minimal flavour and the price is mega bucks for hardly any food e.g over ┬Ż9 for mushrooms, 1 sausage, spam, egg and fried bread.... I don't order as friend always does so I can't say much in the way off staff but I commend anyone who has to work there as it must be a long shift but not impressed with food x
Not bad but sell out date drink say 16 aug 2018 and say they say 19 and i need to go to Specsavers yet 3 all say 18
Wow never thought you could go wrong with a English breakfast but yep it was awful and the ’┐Į tea was shocking never be going again and all 4 of us had the same opinion
What a load of shit this has become, staff are rude as anything, rather talk to your partner as if your not there than ask me personally what I want on my breakfast and when the breakfast comes it's cold anyway and the fried bread isn't even fried it's all soggy just like bread soaked up in beans, none of the staff have a smile on there face at all, I used to love this place but I definitely won't be coming again ’┐Į!!
