It has been scientifically proven* that the more people who eat at Red's True Barbecue tonight, the more likely England are to win tonight's match.
You can't argue with science.
*It's definitely not been scientifically proven. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't come and stuff your faces anyway. Take advantage of our #FestivalOfBBQ booklets and get yourself a free jug of beer whilst you're at it!

User

Wow, what a place! Great....no, fantastic food!!

Had the pit tray, which I thought was a bit pricey until it arrived!! The food was fresh, and by God was it plentiful!! I can eat but it beat me!! The staff were unbelievably helpful. Great atmosphere, excellent decor! If I do have one gripe ( and this is me being picky) the drinks are a bit pricey. But the food more than makes up for it!! We shall return!!

User

Second time Iā€™ve been for ā€œdate nightā€ with my hubs. Ordered different things each time, good drinks, great staff and the food is second to none. Love the atmosphere and the Pit Burger is the best burger Iā€™ve ever had!

Zero fault at all ļæ½ļæ½

User

I have been here 4 times in the last 8 months. Each visit has been truly outstanding. The food is delicious, brisket and burnt ends is what I go for. The staff are attentive and is reasonably priced.

User

First time and was well pleased x Food fantastic service good. Only had to wait 20 mins that was good as it was a Saturday night Was a treat from my lovely family for motherā€™s day

User

Chose Red's as the place to eat to celebrate my 21st birthday. The staff are phenomenal (Shout out to Matt, our waiter!) and the food was absolutely beautiful! Couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate. If I could give Red's more than 5 stars I definitely would ļæ½

User

Bit pricey but you 100% totally get what you pay for. I reccomend it to everyone, the brisket is the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. Their own brewed beers are amazing too

User

Absolutely excellent customer service. My meal wasnā€™t right and you replaced and didnā€™t charge me for it. Thank you. Me and my son enjoyed our food!! The waitress was really friendly and helpful with my dietary restrictions ļæ½ļæ½

User

Went for my daughters birthday was a very good meal all enjoyed it especially my husband who is very fussy about meat the only criticism was the price of the wine Ā£ 7.50 for a large glass of rose a bit steep even for Ecclesall road

User

The customer service was top notch really quick and attentive even though it was a really busy night. All the drinks and food came very quickly and the food was very delicious however very very salty not sure if they add it in themselves manually or it just comes that way, but I couldn't finish my meal from the overload of salt taste haha other than that the meat is cooked perfectly and would 100% come back.

User

Good range on the menu, great portions (for lunch), reasonably priced for an irregular treat rather than an every day / week meal.

I found the menu slightly confusing but the friendly, approachable staff are more than happy to help translate!

User

The good bits : Food was great, the Pit burger I had was delicious and the generous amounts of meat therein was tender and juicy. The portions were enough to satisfy the most hungry visitor. The fries were good too, crispy and tasty.

The bad bits : The air was so smoky I had to take my steroid inhaler for a bit of relief. The staff obviously thought it was very smoky too as they had to leave the doors open to let the smoke out. That certainly cleared the air somewhat though it made the restaurant freezing cold...I was glad to get back in my car to get the icicles hanging from my face melted. Service was non existent noone came to check if our food was ok etc. Came home (In front of the fire) and put my clothes in the wash as I smelled like id been at a bonfire all night. Id visit again but this time would probably wear thermals and breathe through my oxygen tank. ļæ½

User

Had lunch here yesterday 12 December no complaints with the food not really my style of restaurant but like a prison , stairs and walls looked dirty. Expensive but the biggest let down was no coffee machine!!! I asked for a coffee at the end of our meal and was informed they only had a kettle. I said donā€™t bother thanks. What hospitality business doesnā€™t have decent coffee even if itā€™s an automatic machine.

User

Had a lovely meal the food was really nice and you get plenty. Would definitely recommend the sharing platters. The thing that really let it down for us all was the cheek of the staff putting a service charge on the bill. To automatically think we should pay for this charge after spending so much money is disgusting. Surely like every job they get an hourly rate to serve you? Should be the customers option to give tips. It made us feel really embarrassed to ask for it to be taken off then when putting the card in the machine it asked again to pay a tip. For someone who wouldn't understand the bill or the card machine would pay twice it's really wrong

User

We was in town shopping yesterday and all became hungry, so instead of the usual mc Donaldā€™s we thought we would pop to reds for some dinner. We have been before and the food was amazing but this time Iā€™m sorry to say it wasnā€™t as nice which is a bit guttering when you pay good money. The food was ok but just didnā€™t taste as good as the first time we visited, and it seemes the same story at most places that open where they pull all the stops out to get you hooked and then ones they have reeled you in the food slowly goes down hill.

User

We normally love this place and have been numerous times but feel really let down after visiting this weekend. We ordered a pit burger and a sharing platter for 2 and it took an hour to arrive. My son was crying with hunger and it didn't help watching tables who arrived after us be served, eat and pay whilst we were still waiting. The air con was above us & so cold we asked for it to be turned down, but ended up putting our coats and scarves on. When the food finally arrived it tasted as good as ever but the portion was much smaller than normal & missing the bourbon shots. By this point we were so hungry we didn't care but for Ā£43 for a platter for 2 it was very disappointing after such good previous experience eating the exact same meal on previous occasions. Will now think twice before visiting again ļæ½

User

Really disappointed with the place. Not impressed by any of the food we had. Beef ribs, chicken, burger. Only 2 onion rings as a side! Freezing cold as well upstairs. Won't be returning.

User

Just ordered via Deliveroo and was massively underwhelmed with the luke warm tiny portions of food. Ordered the Ā£20 smoke box, some loaded fries and a milkshake and spent Ā£35 in total. I can't believe they charge nearly Ā£7 for a McDonald's Ā£ saver size order of fries with some tough, inedible meat on. The meat was bland and fatty and the only thing that stopped me giving 1 star was the milkshake and free wings which were quite nice.

User

Was served by Coral at reds Sheffield and tries to use the festival of bbq 40% off voucher we were given. Only to be told you can't use it the same day as being given the booklet, despite the terms and conditions on the website or Facebook saying nothing about this. Very disappointed to be mislead like this and suggest others take note as you'll get a mast surprise if you rock up expecting a discount!

User

I've heard very mixed reviews of this place, so when the 40% off the food bill came along, I thought we could try it. The service was brilliant, the staff are very friendly and informative! But the food was honestly tasteless. To say it looks so nice in pictures, wetherspoons has a lot more taste then Reds. The jalapeƱos were just standard green peppers with no spice. The fries where just standard frozen fries. The only thing that was actually tasty were the sauces. We ate half of our dinners, as we hadn't eaten since lunch and it was already 7:30pm by the time we ate, but is definitely not worth the money! Pay less and eat tastier foods elsewhere! I'm sorry for the bad review but I really didn't think it was worth it.
