Last week, Creative Learning Stoke-on-Trent welcomed students from local colleges & sixth forms to the Regent Theatre where they have spent the past week learning all the ropes!
Last night was opening night of 'Chicken' by Mark Wheeller - a play that deals with road safety issues as well as peer pressure, friendship and family relationships. The students have performed, designed, directed and stage managed the production themselves during their work experience and they will now be taking it on tour to Stoke-on-Trent primary schools!
The students have worked really hard on this and we wish them all the luck with the tour! ūüĎŹ

This weekend, we are welcoming hundreds of dancers to the Victoria Hall as they compete in ICON: Season 5 - the biggest competition in freestyle dance!

Went to see Carol King the musical called Beautiful,brilliant from start to finish the cast members portrayed the story so realistically it took us back in time,great acting very good all round,the Regent Theatre seemed very well organised.ūüĎĆ

Shrek was brilliant so my son and grandsons and Mrs said they had a great time they loved it , shame lion king is not on at the theater , so ppl go see shrek while ya still can not to be missed I'd give it ten if there was a ten thank you regent theater and the staff are very helpful and always with a smile keep up the good work

Seen Many shows here. What a lovely theatre. Been tonight to see Hairspray The Musical. Upgraded My seats by using tickets for a 2 for 1 on My ATG card. Very good value for money and wow what a fantastic show. Infact the best one i have ever been to see.

Recently watched Legally Blonde The Musical at The Regent Theatre and it was a fantastic musical, I would recommend it to anyone. I have been watching (and performed in) shows at both the Regent Theatre and the Victoria Hall since I was a child, they are great venues! Generally very clean, with lovely helpful staff, and a great night out ÔŅĹ

Just been to see Shrek it was brilliant and very funny my favourite was Lord Farquaad but I laughed at all of it ÔŅĹ pre ordering our ice creams and having them delivered to our seats was fab. Love the Regent especially my ATG card which helps me see more shows at affordable prices ÔŅĹ

Hi fabulous show really enjoyed it only complaint is the air conditioning came on and we were so cold had to put coats over us .

Went to the Victoria hall on Saturday 28th April to watch ‚Äúmessage in a bottle ‚Äú they have not been together very long but very impressed by them . We will be booking again when they come back round ūü§ě.

Went to see shrek on Saturday with my daughter and my two grandsons I thought the tickets were expensive and no reductions for children that was bad enough we had a drink and ordered a drink for the interval my grandsons add a small tub of sweets it cost £49 it's madness that these are the prices you pay when going to see a show in stoke on Trent you expect to pay when going to see a show in London but not in a city like stoke all in all the day cost over £250 witch is more than I earn in a week I'd saved the money to go and payed for the tickets at Christmas sorry to say I didn't enjoy the show very much I won't be going a gain it's getting to expensive

Thought the staff and venue excellent, though the sound seemed to drop out or not loud enough at times.

Shrek the musical was a delight to watch. Great family entertainment

Show was great, there’s was a lot of promotion to buy refreshments, pre order, or have them delivered to you seats, all well and good.



Only bought two small filtered coffee, out of one of push down jugs. £5.20. Have been to the regent on several occasions and always enjoyed the atmosphere, and will go again, however I find the refreshments on the expensive side, so try not to buy anything due to this.

Hairspray was really good show ... shame the theatre didn’t seem very full maybe it’s because the drinks are sooooo expensive !!! £8 for a gin and tonic !!! Scandalous !!

A fabulous slick production of Shrek last night. The costumes and set are well worth the ticket price alone. Performers were awesome, Lord Farquaad was superb, like fairy tale royalty meets Stewie from Family Guy - hilarious. ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ

We as a family went to watch the show shrek. I have to say it wasn't the best but the grandchildren really enjoyed it. The place was empty but I'm not surprised as it was very overpriced no reductions for children. Refreshments are also very expensive.ÔŅĹ

Together with three others I attended the Victoria Hall to watch a new act, The Barricade Boys. The vocalists performed songs from much loved musicals. They could all sing and we were all tapping our feet. A great night, one which I thoroughly recommend.

I have bought 2 tickets at full price to see Thoroughly modern Millie and am now disappointed to find that If id left it till now I could have saved and only paid £15 per ticket doesn't encourage me to book in advance in future plus it was very cold and draughty in the Regent theatre last night a lot of people were wearing their coats unfortunately I hadn't taken one and shivered instead

Came to see Thoroughly Modern Millie yesterday, really enjoy the singing & dancing but the sound / diction was not very good, so found it hard to follow the story!



Surrounding audience members felt the same.



The second half was a little better but not worth the ¬£90 paid ÔŅĹ

I visited last night to watch The Shires. Was a really good show although my view was severely restricted with a pillar right in front of my seat. No staff to ask in the circle if I could move seats and no warning when booking my tickets about the restricted view apart from on the actual ticket that I didn’t realise until I sat in my seat. Maybe not sell the seats with restricted views and don’t get me started on the cost of drinks £5.40 for a bottle of fruit cider. Won’t be rushing back

Fun show last night but service terrible. Not enough bar staff. Rude usher. 1st half of show was disturbed several times by usher.

I've attended many many shows at the Regent andwas really pleased to find my daughter also enjoyed going. So I booked her tickets for Shrek for a birthday present. The tickets cost me just short of £100. Unfortunately I have been poorly overnight and can't get anyone else to stand in for me at such short notice but as the show isn't a sell out thought that maybe the Regent would accommodate swapping the tickets to another day. Nope. Nothing they can do. No reduction in price on further tickets. No assistance at all.
