This week we have been enjoying our local environment. On Tuesday the pre-school children visited the local library to read stories of their own choice. This is important as it develops their reading and listening skills and also allows them to be imaginative.📖 On Wednesday, toddlers and babies went to Warley Woods to develop their gross motor skills by moving in a variety of ways with their friends. They were able to explore the woods and go on the different equipment at the park.🏡

February half-term is quickly approaching... At Reginald Road we are packed with fun resources and activities to make sure that your children enjoy their holidays and time with us😁

The children had such good fun in the dark with their glow sticks. It enabled them to develop their fine and gross motor skills whilst moving and dancing in a variety of ways. Physical development is important as it... "Provides opportunities for young children to be active and interactive; and to develop co-ordination, control and movement."😁

Today the nursery have been celebrating Chinese New Year. They have been tasting lots of delicious foods and having a go at using chop sticks. The children have also been making pig masks as it's the year of the pig and had a go at writing some Chinese letters. We also finished off listening to Chinese music and learning about the culture. 🇨🇳

This week we have made different modes of transport with biscuit cutters. The children had to guess the vehicle and later use the icing pens to make them more colourful and yummy to eat. They tasted delicious! 😋

It's Christmas jumper day and we have enjoyed some festive fun! 🎉 To celebrate the Christmas period we have had a yummy dinner with all the trimmings and it was delicious. In preparation for today the children visited our local shops to buy the food and decorations to share with one another 🎄

Christmas is coming... Today, the children went to see Santa in his grotto and enjoyed telling him what they would like for Christmas🎄

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!🎄
Today we have been making gingerbread. The children have loved following the recipe to bake and help out the staff. We have rolled, cut, cooked and even ate the gingerbread with warm milk for snack. Our nursery smelt so yummy!😍

This term we have been reading the story "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". We have enjoyed listening to the story and interacting with it too. Our story corner this term has allowed us to engage in different activities that relate to the story. The children have been writing their names, counting, learning new vocabulary, exploring the life cycle of a butterfly and much much more.
We can't wait for next term and the new story we are preparing!

Yay! We have been awarded the highest rating of 5 for our Food Hygiene.from the Food Standards Agency. 😃🍽️

October marks Black History Month, it recognises and celebrates inspirational people and events. To celebrate this, Reginald Road day nursery have been participating in a range of activities to develop our knowledge. We have been taking part in food tasting, painting the Black History Month flag, listening and dancing to music and making our own music from around the world. Our children have also been making shape collages and reading stories about different people in society....

This week we went on a trip to Teenie Weenies in Birmingham, the children really enjoyed themselves and it was a fun way to develop their physical skills.
We are also planning many more trips in the future :)

This Nursery is a lovely place with great staffs. Environment is excellent as well. I will definitely recommend as my daughter loves it here.

Reginald Road Day nursery is really nice and staff are lovely. I have used Yvonne Kerr's day nurseries for a number of years now and highly recommend, its nice to drop your child off and know that your child is having fun, learning and loves going.

Our son absolutely loves the nursery and the lovely people who look after him. We are so glad he is going there and hopefully for years to come.

My son has attended this child-friendly nursery since it’s opened the staff are so welcoming and opened armed to everyone and have supported me with my son, he has come along way since he has attended they plan activities that suit him and his needs and provide a good friendly environment for him to learn and play with his friends.

For as today was really very emotional day. We been using this owners nursery for years and years. Both my daughters from early years or i can say month calling this nursery second home. Today my youngest daughter Samantha was Granulate On Play house Day nursery on St Mary Road. It was really emotional. I just wanted to say big thanks to Yvonne Kerr and all her team for all this years.( for Samantha 5 years and Amelia around 5 as well). Very good job. I recommended and will be still using for school pick ups. Really good service. I can give more them 5 stars
