[15] Give your complete attention to these matters. Throw yourself into your tasks so that everyone will see your progress. [16] Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you.
1 Timothy 4:15-16 MSG [15...-16] Cultivate these things. Immerse yourself in them. The people will all see you mature right before their eyes! Keep a firm grasp on both your character and your teaching. Don't be diverted. Just keep at it. Both you and those who hear you will experience salvation.
It's so important I believe that others around you notice your progression. You never know how much you encourage others by improving yourself. Cultivate and immerse yourselves in the things that matter as it will benefit you and those that hear you.

Heroes and celebrities are not the same. 2000 eighth graders were asked to name their heroes.
Every single child named an entertainer or sports star 💫 But those aren’t heroes –they’re celebrities. Celebrities are about image and fame.
Heroes are about character, service and sacrifice!
