A quick update for all parents in regard to the increase of croup cough this autumn.
Croup is a childhood condition that affects the windpipe the airways to the lungs and the voice box. Children with croup have a distinctive barking cough and will make a harsh sound when they breathe in.

As we are heading into the peak of the hayfever season we would like to remind everyone who is effected by pollen especially people with respiratory condition like asthma to take your medication regularly before symptoms arise and seek advice if you find your self in need. At remedy pharmacy we have a respiratory specialist and we are happy to offer advice and treatment to improve your symptoms.

Chickenpox is going round again so can I please remind people NOT to give your children nurofen/ibuprofen. This type of medicine is an anti inflammatory, it reacts with chicken pox making them go deeper into the skin tissue will also make your child very very ill! Please share this post to increase the word

We are sending our congratulations to the Cuckoo Lane Surgery in Hanwell, which has just been rated ‘outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in its most recent round of inspection reports. Cuckoo Lane Surgery was one of just two surgeries in England rated ‘outstanding’ by the commission in its 39 reports on care standards in GP practices which were published today. Cuckoo Lane Surgery is a nurse-led practice; it is run by two directors who are both nurses.

A potentially dangerous cloud of air pollution is blowing over the country.
