Yet another busy and fun community session yesterday. Chris Clarke gave us a lovely performance for Music and Memories.
If you're shopping in Waitrose Wellington, please show us your support by choosing us as your charity token choice 😊
Archie had great fun at the Community Health & Well-Being Day in Hamilton Park, Taunton today! He did spend some time in the back of a police van, luckily they decided to let him off this time 😉😂
Another lovely Memory Cafe yesterday, everyone enjoyed playing a variety of games and puzzles! If you want to come along to the next one, our Memory Cafe runs fortnightly on a Thursday from 2pm to 4pm.
Yesterday was the last of the Summer Wacky Wednesday's, we have thoroughly enjoyed working in partnership with other local organisations. Yet again it was a fantastic morning of fun and games. Loved being joined by the police and their horses too 🐎😍.
The residents at York House enjoyed an activy angel session today and created some beautiful angels with Claire this afternoon.
We are hosting a Dementia Awareness and Respite Event at Thurlestone Hotel, Kingsbridge. This will be a thought provoking session for carers, whilst those they care for can enjoy a range of activities provided by us in a seperate room. In the afternoon everyone will come together to enjoy taster therapy sessions of either hand and arm massage, indian head massage or reflexology. This is a free day which inlcludes lunch and refreshments. Booking is essential, please call us on 01823 668676 or email office@reminiscencelearning.co.uk to confirm your place!
Today we are wishing Claire, one of our lovely volunteers, a very happy 60th birthday!
Did you know that we run community sessions? This week we have Joy of Song & Dance which will be a Line Dancing session with Shane, Wednesday 2pm - 4pm. Then on Thursday we have our ever popular Memory Cafe from 2pm - 4pm. Everyone is welcome! 🤠🐎
Pop to the Wellington Weekly and pick up your Welly Rocks Summer Trail! Just one week left to take part, with proceeds split between Reminiscence Learning and WHERE.

Another fantastic Singing with Friends session on Thursday, we celebrated a 102nd and 106th birthday for two lovely ladies. We are currently looking for a volunteer to help us out with our fortnightly Singing with Friends session on a Thursday morning. If you or somebody you know would be able to help please contact us 😊
Following our amazingly successful pilot, we will be starting our Forest School sessions in partnership with Otterhead Forest School in September. These are fantastic sessions, working alongside children with social and emotional needs. We do a range of activities from fire building to nature trails and cooking lunch on an open fire. These are free weekly sessions, during school term time, which include a light lunch. If you know somebody with memory impairment who would be interested in joining an active group activity, with or without their carer, please contact us on 01823 668676 or email office@reminiscencelearning.co.uk
We loved Wacky Wednesday this week, it was an "All Around The World" theme at Cades Farm park! Don't miss out on next week's at Wellington Park! It'll be the last Wacky Wednesday session this summer 🌞☀️
It's fantastic to be in the paper again, thank you to the Wellington Weekly News. We are feeling very proud! So pleased to have ongoing support from the Wellington Town Council.
Listen out for Emma chatting to Darren from Tone FM on tomorrow's breakfast show!
Lovely photo and write up in this week's County Gazette! We are so proud that the Lord Lieutenant of Somerset, Annie Maw has offered to become an ambassador for us! We couldn't be more pleased.
