Remote Medic UK Ltd is a Care Quality Commission Registered company providing event medical services and remote area medicine in the UK and overseas.

Our approach to event medicine is one of zero drama, quiet competence and we will aim to provide a level of medical care sufficient to treat and discharge patients at scene rather than removing them to hospital, wherever appropriate. This is important for organisers of larger events, not only to maintain attendance (and maximise income) but also to avoid increased burden on local NHS hospital and ambulance resources (which can also incur cost for the event organiser).

For clients that need support for an expedition or remote area operation, we are able to provide a full range of services from initial advice and medical risk evaluation to a complete geopolitically sensitive medical plan for the event and the provision of an appropriate medic (or team) to accompany the trip.

We are a learning organisation and, as such, our philosphy includes the concepts of systems thinking to allow us to continuously adapt to meet new challenges and demands. We invest heavily in our people in terms of education and training and we encourage personal mastery and utilise a number of procedures for team learning. In this way, we are always aiming to improve and enhance our delivery of service to the client in the most cost effective way possible.

This philosophy carries over into our training courses and we have a number of clients that bring their staff back year after year to benefit from the high quality and challenging training opportunities that we offer in pre-hospital care and in expedition & wilderness medicine.
