Remus Horse Sanctuary Description
Our charity is run solely on donations and it is due to this generosity that we are able to provide the lifelong essential care and rehabilitation that our animals require.
Please note that we are only open on selected days of the year. Visit the 'Events' page on our website for confirmation of these dates.
For the six months over the summer, on the first Sunday of every month we hold open days here at the Sanctuary. Please feel free to attend and see the excellent work and dedication that our staff provides to our rescued animals.
Our animals require year round love and attention and indeed continue to do so for the rest of their natural lives. We heavily rely on donations throughout the winter months when we are not open to public, and it is during this time that our costs are the highest and your continued help and support is so much appreciated.

What a wonderful place Remus horse Sanctuary is...So many lovely horses enjoying their freedom-roaming about in their fields. A lovely place to visit on their open days.
This is an amazing place that rescues horses and ponies that have been treated apallingly and gives them a home to live out their lives with love and dignity.
Remus is the most amazing charity! They go above and beyond for every animal in their care! Please help support them any way you can x
Remus give their whole heart and soul to helping every animal and work hard to campaign for changes for animals in terrible conditions outside of Remus too. Please try and support them and they also have great open days with stalls, live band, holistic therapy treatments of Reiki Healing, Indian Head Massage and Reflexology. Come and see all the animals :) x
It truly is a sanctuary and thank goodness for Sue and her volunteers. I enjoy raising funds and visiting this unique oasis. Do miss the cakes that were homemade though !

Had lovely time at Remus Horse Sanctuary. An amazing place so many horses ponies all of whom are very well looked after and happy . Such a great charity that is really doing miracalous work in caring for all these horses. Was so impressed. We sponsored horse called Dolly n my 5 yrs old cannot wait to recieve photos n updates on Dolly s progress.
