Retallack Resort And Spa Cornwall

Excellent resort, one of the nicest places I've started. Our suite was right on the lake, was very well presented, and didn't cost the earth either.

The location of our accommodation was amazing being right on the lake and having the lake view right from our bedroom. It was a request from us and we were so glad they were able to provide it for us. Our bed was very comfortable as well! Staff was very helpful with all our queries and called in on our first night just to check on us. The accommodation was warm enough during winter stay and they had good source of water and heater. Really enjoyed our stay here despite the rainy/windy weather, it was quite relaxing!

Amazing barn with a private hot tub I definitely recommend is so worth it. The house was beautiful and very spacious. The staff we very helpful and friendly l.
The resort shop had everything you would need.
I wish I tried flowrider looked amazing and definitely will try it next time I go and stay at Retallack.
The only disappointment was the food restaurant not a lot of options and food was not 10/10.

This resort is excellent for families. The lodges are huge. Great location. Good facilities. Flow-Rider is great and staff on it are great fun. My only recommendation is that they need to have a bigger spa as no spaces available to book. Also very dog friendly.

Everything you need on site and more

Enjoyed Fishing from our balcony, the waterpark and the Spa having a lovely treatment. Live music one night was great..Great resort especially of you have children to keep busy or just to relax.

We stayed in The Herons lodge, which was equipped with almost everything you could want for a comfortable stay. The communal areas are huge and the kitchen is well kitted out. The facilities at the club are very good too.

Great place for parents and kids alike. Lodges for big family groups. Apartments for couples. Many activities catered for. Good stay

Stayed at the resort for a long weekend to celebrate an anniversary. It was a tad cold at the start of the night but warmed up after a while. It would of been better if the apartment had some carpet/rugs to make the place more welcoming and warmer.

I was a bit surprised to see no instructors around the pool, but it did have some nice changing facilities and good hot showers. Would definitely recommend as a good day out though.

We have booked and stayed at Retallack many times over the past 10 years and have loved the place. The location is perfect for exploring the Cornwall coast and excellent beaches. Our last couple of visits however have started to raise some concerns. While the leisure facilities and flowrider continue to be first class the lodges are starting to look a bit tired and dated. The 4 bed lodge this time had badly worn carpets, threadbare in places, broken worksurface and a constant drain smell around the lodge. While the staff were always anxious to help, a walk around the site suggests some of the lodges are in need of TLC rather than the patching up that seems to be the norm. We would be very sad to see a continuing decline in the accommodation from a 5 star standard.

Didn't stay a the resort but went for the day. Went to the water assault course and was amazing! Tad cold at start but warmed up after a while. Instructors were nice and easy going, nice changing facilities and good hot showers. Would definitely recommend as a good day out.

Aqua park. The kids loved it, I wasn't impressed by the lifeguards. As the session before us finished the lifeguards disappeared and no effort was made to get people out of the water. When they had all eventually got out, our session couldn't start because there was a lifeguard missing. Eventually, 20 minutes late, we got in. Lifeguards were not attentive, the ones on the bank spent most of the time chatting to each other and dancing, the ones in the water were a little better. It's fun, but I think the lifeguards could do with focusing more on the people in the water than messing around with each other.

Lots to do but most water activities cost extra. For example gym, Tennis and Golf are free (if you bring your own equipment for T and G) Aqua park fun but as upto 100 people bouncing at a time for your 1 hours slot it gets very crowded. Flow rider fun too but as an hour and 10 people sharing one surf in reality you get just 6 minutes on average. Would be better if 2 instructors and hence each person got 12 mins. Most activities are fully booked and you need to book a slot a day or two before. Unless you walk to the actual activity and book they charge you an extra booking fee which I think is a bit off.

Really like Retallack. I like the keep fit training with instructors at a low cost. Brilliant restaurant on site and nice clean accommodation.
The only down side for me is the bar, nothing going on to entice you in.

See the below email from them - I had a family emergency and this place wouldn't even consider being flexible. DONT TRUST

Excellent accommodation and beautiful surroundings. Staff were helpful but unobtrusive. Perfect getaway.

Had my eyebrows done at the spar (temporarily located in one of the lodges). Warm and welcoming in a windy day! Lovely ecperience and I will definitely be visiting again!

Peaceful, perfect getaway. Within easy reach of Newquay, padstow, port Isaac and st. Ives this place is a little gem. We stayed 3 nights in one of the small fistral lodges, but it was perfect for 2. Fully equipped kitchen, beautiful modern decor, lovely rainfall shower head, deep bath and lovely little lake outside of the balcony. We will come again, just will likely wait for a deal as the price is a touch expensive...
