Went here for our 20th anniversary meal, it was our first time and loved it. The atmosphere, food and staff was first class. Can’t wait to go again 😊

Went for our anniversary �Straight to our table.. Drinks on the table in 2 mins, starters fantastic, mains delicious, then cheese cake and cream to die for � Then 2 vouchers for £20 off next time ��

Went for lunch with my daughter's, Sat outside in the sun, great food, service and atmosphere. Could have stayed all day.

Our steak was perfectly cooked and I’m still thinking about those thick cut chips!

Excellent menu, good service and family friendly. Went for a treat with daughter, son in law and 2 year old granddaughter. There is no 'conveyer belt' feeling here...the service is good and nice relaxed atmosphere that's not rowdy. I've been coming for many years and have never been disappointed. The Xmas day dinner I had 3 years ago was absolutely wonderful.

Been going to The Retreat over last 8 years and loved it every time I've been....either for lunch or for dinner. Really enjoy the food & the atmosphere is relaxing. The staff are always attentive, very polite & helpful. It is definitely worth a visit!!

A party of us dined here on Sunday to celebrate my brother's birthday. I have always found the food and service extremely good here, and this was no exception.

17 of us booked for my sisters hen doo and it was great! the staff couldn’t do any more! The food was great and service was quick, would defo recommend x

12 of us went last night for our xmas meal, the food was absolutely delicious, the staff fantastic, can’t praise this place enough. We started to sing and staff and other diners joined in. Brill atmosphere.

We gathered together as a family of 14 to celebrate my sister in laws 40th 🎉 Birthday. We were greeted and taken to our table. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed a speedy service with excellent food and drink served in an great modern setting. Would definitely recommend to my other friends and family. Overall we had a fabulous evening.

Had a lovely time and food was mostly good. My hubby had the steak and ale pie and it was mostly mushrooms in gravy, other than that the food was lovely

We was driving by and this look good, got a table and never booked but told need too finish at 4 which wasn’t too bad, I had a pint of coots light and it tasted like vinegar so had it changed but still dint taste great so left half on table, my steak pie tasted too over seasoned think it was a herb what killed it thought (too much in my opinion) but staff was friendly enough and went too till to pay as nobody came back so I could pay on my card...

Pre-Wedding Dinner, booked a table months ago at the Retreat Bolton, for

20 Family and Friends, who had travelled from all over the Country, only to find we was on separate tables.



To top it all the Service was abysmal!!



VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED....��

Okish - not great for the price. Meat over cooked and had to open and pour our wine.

Great food, atmosphere was warm but very very noisy and the service was pretty poor even if staff were polite. We landed up pouring our own wine ... at £30 a bottle a little attention to detail wouldn’t have gone amiss.
