Still boiling bait here... But it makes it possible for a bit of bank time this weekend 👍 With winter well underway (but you wouldn’t think so weather wise) a great addition to anyone’s armoury is our bag mix and glug, I always start with a little water and finish off with the glug; these glugs makes it PVA friendly 👍 A few chops and maybe pellets and it’s good for a small trap, giving off loads of attention and very little food, all helps to sneak a quick bite! Charlie Ferguson has had his first fish of the year... Hi, caught my first one of the year on e5 wafter, soaked in matching bait spray. Well done Charlie top angling mate, could do with making a start this year myself 👊 Retro 🎣

David Williams has been to a local water for the last 24hrs fishing in freezing conditions, he Fished a small trough and positioned 2 rods in there, with a light scattering of bait and then put his last rod up against a island. David ended up with 4 carp; All caught on a squid and octopus bottom baits with a small essential 5 pop up to finish the snowman off! Matty Hill a great end to a year... Last session of 2018 decided to fish a new club water, which I’d never fished before ; I spent a couple of hours walking round and leading about and found an area that looked good for a bite. Fished a hinged stiff rig with a meaty g pop up over 25 baits nice to end the year with a chunky mirror🎣 Lovely fish matey, start as you mean to go on I think 👊 Retro 🎣

Steve Young’s great way to end 2018... After that last fish of the year. A quick 24hr on a busy lake, after finding a quiet part of the lake; I began leading around and found a nice spot to fish with 20 minutes of the first rod being out. I had a knock on the door it was just a matter for time. A few hours in to fishing I ended up with a 24lb bar of gold , that had fell to the naked chod fished with retros tango popup's and some freebies #result 🎣🎣🎣 Top result buddy, and a p...roper minter toO! I’ve managed to get the rods out just on dark.... I’ve managed to swing a couple of nights on the bank; I must say it’s the best weather I’ve seen at this time of year in years, if ever 🎣 I will be back at the HQ New Year’s Eve, from dinner time for a few hours if any one needs bait 👊 Hope you’ve all had a great holiday or short break . David Jacks 2018 captures.... Some fish from this year with a new pb 36lb backed with another 30+ my time this year has been very limited on the bank , with new job an baby; so next year i will see more bank time for sure. The start of the year i was using maple toffee an then moved over to squid an octopus; and back to maple n toffee for the winter.. massive thanks to retro an all of nicks hard work an time rolling.. Gavin Barrett has been having great results in 2018.... Only been using Retro full time since September, have rolled my own bait for the last 3 years, so know how much effort Nick has been putting into these new baits. Crazy nut was the first Nick had me use and caught me my first 20 from cuttlemill, also I’ve been using the Shropshire Gold and new Golden crab with some great results.
