Retroskate Description

Based on Great Yarmouth's Golden Mile, Retroskate was the ideal choice for a day out with the kids or with friends (especially on a rainy day! )
The main roller rink was home to 'Retro' skating games including bulldog, sit down tag, limbo, stuck in the mud and many more, not to mention Friday night teenage roller discos and Saturday evenings of family fun.
In addition to the main rink, facilities include:

Under 5s Play Area
Roller Tots Rink
Fully Equipped Skate Shop
Skate Hire
Disabled & child friendly access
Cafe Retro - Reasonable priced food
Kids /Birthday Party packages

We also provided 'Schools Sports Programme & Enrichment Activities' as well as being home to the biggest Artistic Roller Skating Club in the UK for almost 10 years.

Great value and fun for all the family!

COMMUNITY
RetroSkate (GY) Community Interest Company was established to the provide the residents and visitors of Great Yarmouth a dedicated roller skating venue.
The status of the CIC means we provide sporting benefit to the community as well as being a Social Enterprise. Retroskate is also a not-for-profit company, basically we invest all resources in improving the service and benefit we provide. . #saveourrink

HISTORY
Great Yarmouth has a vast history in roller skating and has produced more national champions as a percentage of population than anywhere else in the country. The loss of facilities, some 20 years ago came as a great shock to the town as it was still extremely popular. Small artistic groups struggled on by using community sports halls. RetroSkate has developed from one of these sessions run by North Sea Rollers with the collaboration of 4 people who bring together a wealth of experience and qualifications in both work and roller skating. We are passionate about roller skating and the many benefits it brings its participants at all ages and levels.
