Piped music is not too good and repair times seem to take forever. Great staff and facilities when all in order.

This gym is in need of a total refurbishment! The changing rooms have mould on the walls (from rising damp), several bulbs not working. Some machines in the gym have faults. The staff are great, polite and pleasant but the gym needs a lot of money spent on it to justify the expensive fees.

Spa Bexley.
As a gift to my Mum for her 70th Birthday and my Daughters 21st Birthday, Was looking forward to spend the day here the 3 of us, for these special occasions and enjoy 3 treatments each through the day.

Unfortunately therapist off sick, disappointing for us but completely understand. Karen tried to have our day moved to the retreat, unfortunately unable to accommodate our booking. We considered moving our day to January, however wouldn't be the same experience as only 1 therapist works on a Sunday.... Our only day of week the 3 of us are available...we had all booked today as holiday for today!!!

Was advised for the same experience on a Sunday to move our booking to the retreat, was happy to do this until told it would be an extra £10 per person!!!!! Which to some may not seem that much more of an expense, it's not. However, under the circumstances, I really feel that it is unacceptable customer care of service. To be told they would throw in a 2 course meal, which would make up the extra costs is disgraceful. We do not want the meal as a light lunch is already included in our day. For the sake of £30 you wish to charge me, for the lack of prestige customer care service... NO THANKS.! I'll have a full refund of £462, I'll treat my family else where.

This gym group are more interested in high rates than providing a good experience for clients - facilities are tired and premium rate evening classes are not as varied as the cheaper day memberships. Staff are not interested in members with few exceptions

What a terrible place! £240 for 2 people spa day and it is the most unrelaxing place i have ever been too.

Toilets and changing rooms dirty, choice of jacket potato or sandwiches for lunch and no spare robes!

Our treatments were 10.30 and 1400 meaning that the other person was sitting alone for 2hrs. I would have rather spent a little extra for a London Spa!

I do think that some of the reviews are so unfair . I have been a member of Bexley for five years .It is the cleanest gym I have had membership to ,the fee in the big scheme of things presents good value for money given the treat and tone option. The staff and this includes reception , spa , gym , cleaners and senior management are friendly , professional , welcoming , know you as an individual and most of all are not age est .
Well done Bexley you are exceptional , I wouldn't go any where else .

Subject to update....Have just joined and the facilities are lacking. Wood boards missing from sauna, hot bed not working at times, jacuzzi was not working last week. light above pool defective at places. . Cold water in rainshower and footnspa. Warm water from drinking fountains . Can only find one drinking fountain in the whole place. Changing room showers not high flow. Bits missing from steam room. Decorative sauna pictures damaged. Tiles need cleaning in the steam room and sauna. Considering the price,. completely unacceptable. Will allow time for these things to be fixed. Otherwise will claim breach of contract.

I booked this spa as a treat as i am working in the area the following day. It seemed like a nice place on the website so called up the day before to pay in full my spa day of £89 along with another extra treatment which I asked for over the phone .. they proceeded to take my money as I could not have even entered the spa facilities without payment.

I arrived at 8.30 and walked up to the desk and the first request was for me to pay ...i explained that I had already done that last night on the phone. They looked very puzzled but got me to fill out some forms. I was shown around and left to it. My first 2 treatments were nice but there is no way they were 25minutes each.
my 3rd treatment was a Brazilian wax which I understand to be the removal of almost all hair...that was a joke, I was left with as much as I went in with and not once was my skin pulled taught which made it alot more painful. that also seemed rushed, perhaps she had another client waiting.

when I was done I was asked again If I had paid..to which I told her that I had .

when I asked for something at reception later on, I was yet again asked if I had paid for my stay..... I firmly told them that I had the night before and they still looked puzzled telling me they haven't received it... I proceeded to prove with my online banking statement as they would not believe me. they did a few more checks and found that after all that it had been paid but was quoted £8 to little. ...the receptionist had a mutter and one suggested to just discount £8 but both still looked annoyed with me about it!!!

I was told it was fine and sorted so carried on with the rest of my day. I got myself dressed and ready and sat in reception waiting for my lift ... the wax lady walked towards me as I was sitting on the sofa and said have you enjoyed your day, I said it was fine she then ask me to pay the extra £8 as it was the booking mistake.

now you could argue that I needed to pay what was owed (which I did) but with the constant questioning all day about payment... payment that they got wrong.. . not me I would have thought as it was my first visit and £8 to a big company like this is minimal they would have just let it go.

i think it is appalling customer service from the reception staff to not get everything sorted and to keep questioning me like I'm in the wrong.... I guarantee if I was a man in a suit with a flash car that could potentially sign up for a permanent membership the whole situation would have been delt with completely differently.

So... what was suppose to be a chilled out and enjoyable day was a pressured mess up that has left me annoyed and angry at how unprofessional this company is.

I will never return to this venue in bexley or any others that they also run as I would not like to deal with such incompetence.

Train your staff better and sort out your call and pay system.

very poor customer service especially if you want to cancel your membership , unanswered emails , promises of returned phone calls but nobody ever does , contradictory answers from the staff , avoid this place

This is my second time as a member and the level of cleanliness is bar none compared to other gyms, all the relevant equipment for a fair price.
