Every mikkle mek a mukkle - Many small amounts accumulate to make a large amount. It's hard to believe our saltfish fritters start from one grain of flour👌

We visited Rhythm Kitchen on Sunday. It was actually lovely to sit in Rhythm Kitchen and enjoy the experience. The staff were very friendly and knew the menu very well. They have a very good rum selection and the only drawback is that I'm gonna have to come back over and over again to get through them all but it will be worth it.

Was walking past last night, laden with shopping for dinner at mine. Abandoned my shopping and came back with a friend for dinner. Delicious, great value, and took my leftovers home.

Plantain fritters - lovely; crispy and soft.

Fish (salmon) was tasty, perfectly cooked to tender. I had the vegetarian Ragga Stew; a mildly-spiced medley of Caribbean veg, rice and peas. Warning; their hot sauce (on the side) is Scotch-Bonnet hot, so if you add this, do so sparingly. Order ice cream to follow.

Very glad to have you just a few yards away. Will be back

Was amazing. Great service and great food!

User

The jerk chicken was delicious and the service was excellent!

User

Not gonna lie we waited a while for our food... But it didn't matter we was looked after like family, the waitress was a STAR, felt relaxed, enjoyed the excitement of the rum bar and cocktails with environmentally friendly straws, and when food arrived it was delicious (we had fish).

Also highly recommended the hibiscus drink for a non alcohol option!!!

My family and I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Anne and her team at Rhythm kitchen yesterday the food was simply delicious; the welcome from her is what also made the experience even more special, from the interaction with staff, waitresses through to the chef was simply pleasurable we had a nice chance to talk in depth to all, along with Anne who explained the reason behind the restaurant.

So what makes this different from other Caribbean restaurants? Well you won’t see any Red, Gold, Greens or Yellows as a mantra for this restaurant, but beautifully decorated cool shades of grey accented with images of great British Caribbean icons, soulsters and other notable figures adorn the walls, providing a little bit of black history, done in a way as not to impose on the diner.

Anne and team embrace ALL of the Caribbean islands countries (reminding the diners that the Caribbean is a large melting pot of islands and countries and not just of one) which is reflected in the menus with chefs emanating from Jamaica and Trinidad giving you a true ‘mix and blend’ of dishes not found in your popular Jamaican restaurants. You only have to look at your other fellow diners and already there is an eclectic of individuals from varying backgrounds tucking into their food – this place is not your usual takeaway but is a full serviced Restaurant (licensed bar) with staff equipped with the mannerisms and skills to match and to tend to your needs, usually found in your 4 star West End restaurants, with a mixed background of waitresses taking your orders with a smile on their face.

This is truly refreshing for me as a British Caribbean (Vincentian) married to a British born Jamaican; a simple thing such as Gunga or black eyes peas on the menu instead of just Red Kidney Beans (which I am not a fan of as we always had more Gunga when I was growing up) makes a big difference (something for everyone) and makes me feel even more at home…..and can we talk about those soft well proportioned fried dumplings or if you are a small island girl like me… those delicious Fried Bakes - soft in the middle with just enough crunch on the outside; my gut tells me only a Trini hand made these using a little bit of yeast to give rise to the tenderness of the dough not always found in your usual Caribbean restaurants.

Either way for me what makes eating out a 5* experience is the following:

1. Food

2. Ambience/venue

3. People

4. Good value for money

All the above ticked my boxes, and I hope that Anne and team continue to meet their customers whilst they are dining as this gives it an intimate experience.

Her beautiful manner and sheer determination is what makes Rhythm Kitchen that more special.

Will I be back again? Well of course and with the whole family.

Bless up Sis and Partner

My Partner and I visited on Sunday for lunch. Lovely decor, great staff and our food was amazingggg. Starters was perfection for my partner as he loves spicy food - he had the coconut peppered prawns and I had the fritters. We both had the jerk chicken for our mains and it was definitely worth the wait. If you haven’t tried the food and drink, get down there!!!

Love it... been 5 times already and it's only been open a few weeks.

User

I visited on Monday 7th May, an experience of sheer authentic Caribbean food. Richly seasoned and well presented. Hospitality at it's best, and great customer service. Home to home service with a smile. Will I go back again...Yes....Will I recommend...Yes. Support these guy's, and keep the positive energy going. Well done to you all. Bringing the pleasure of good food too E17. We need this in the area.

User

I am so glad we now have a decent west Indian restaurant in Walthamstow, between the 7 of us we had ordered at least 11 main courses as we wanted to try more or less everything on the menu, everything was perfect, my mum in law made the best fish cakes (fritters) in the world and I am happy to say that your ones were as good as her's!

We are so happy that all meats on the menu is halal . Thank you X

User

Great set up here with delicious food and friendly staff. Try the special oxtail, it’s amazing!

Food is delish. Drinks were delish. The end

We visited Rhythm Kitchen yesterday and it was Amazing! The Curry Goat, Jerk Wings, Peppered Prawns and Cocktails really reminded us of our Island Roots!

User

Very chilled ambiance, lovely cooked food, friendly staff, a good selection of rum and signature cocktails. Looking forward to Rum Tasting Nights!

User

Today was their soft opening with 50% off. As you enter the place it feels warm and inviting. The staff were really friendly and made you feel welcome. I did have to wait a bit for my takeaway but they did offer me a drink which was a nice touch.

I had the curry goat which was tender and alot of meat and less bone which is nice. Hubby had the jerk chicken.

My only negative hence the 4 stars was the food was far too salty. Which was a shame as the meat was tender.

Still given it is a new local business I would definitely go back.

User

Really enjoyed our meal tonight, nice chilled atmosphere and attentive staff. Food and Rum punch was lovely

User
