All the blues at Fistral this morning. Anyone for a beach day?

User

We will always love this view from the headland lookout over Little Fistral down to south Fistral.

User

As well as being the perfect spot for a family meal after a day on the beach we're dog-friendly too - so don't forget to bring your pooch along! Water bowls and little doggie treats at the ready.

No sunset here in Newquay tonight - but who can argue with this view?!

User

From next Monday we're open from 10am - 10pm. So whether you fancy breakfast, lunch or dinner at the beach we look forward to welcoming you this summer.

User

Our curries which are inspired by Rick's culinary travels around Asia include Goan chicken curry, lamb karahi, mussel masala and many more. Try one with a beer or two next time you join us at the beach.

User

Cheers to the weekend.

The waves are rolling in and the weather is as good as anyone could ask for ☀️. Who would love to be setting up camp for a day on the beach here at Fistral?

User

Really looking forward to welcoming Rue along to our Fistral Sessions tomorrow night. Are you coming too?

User

There are few things nicer than enjoying chips at the seaside.

User

With the arrival of summer we've added some new dishes to our menu. Inspired by Rick's recent Mexican adventure, you can look forward to enjoying beach bite dishes like Ensenada fish tacos, battered mackerel with mayo, chilli sauce and lime, and totopas with guacamole, as well as a seafood favourite, tempura oysters. Pop in soon to try our new menu.

User

Good night from Fistral.

User

New tables ready for summer on the terrace; same timeless view. Wednesday is looking pretty good here at Fistral ☀️

Summer at Rick Stein, Fistral.

User

What a day! Are you staying indoors until after the England match or embracing the sunshine all afternoon?

User

If last night’s sunset is anything to go by, we’re in for some special evenings here at Fistral with the good spell of weather that’s on its way. See you very soon?

User

WOW! The best fish I've had! the staff were great, food was super lush! we went 3 times in a week! great place for lunch & dinner

User

The fish as to be the best I've tasted, shame im back home i could just eat it again.

User

Thank you to the duty manager tonight (Saturday). Our takeaway order took nearly 20 minutes. The manager spotted us beginning to get a bit agitated, so came over, sorted it out, and then gave us a drink each to go with the order. The fish and chips (and drink) were great, sitting on a big rock out on the end of the headland. Thank you. Thoroughly recommended.

User

So impressed. Perfect type of restaurant for the location. It wasn’t busy so understand it might not be the same experience in the height of summer but we couldn’t fault it. Staff were helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was excellent. My husband has a gluten allergy and most dishes were or could be made gluten free, a first for him. Great concept that seems to work very well.

User

Outstanding. Cod & chips were incredible, experience tells me to aim for a quieter period for the best service & quality experience. Will defiantly revisit when we're down here.

User

Loved our visit tonight, had a lovely meal whilst overlooking the beach! Food was well priced, decent portions and delicious.

User

Love it here - gorgeous location, lovely big restaurant and a fabulous selection of food to suit all tastes!

User

Had the mussels and mackerel starter then the chilli fish burger and fish taco followed by Mississippi mud pie...fantastic! Food and service was great and the main meals cost less than it would to buy fish and chips in the sea front anywhere else ive been in Cornwall.

Fantastic views as well!!

User

Great and speedy service for food and drinks. Spent over 3hours sitting on they terrace not rushed at all. All staff very friendly and helpful.

User

Food was fabulous, staff great, place was super clean

User

Fish cooked perfectly but chips were only warm and over cooked. Fantastic view and lovely staff. Very swift clearing of tables and sweeping up sand that people brought in after walking on the beach

User

First time in Newquay and a warm welcome at Rick Stein’s Fistral...

Was fortunate to be the first to try the new pulled beef burger.... amazing taste...

Kids really enjoyed their cod bites as well...

User

Fantastic setting, we appreciated that dogs are welcome inside too. Enjoyed the food as we always do at a Rick Stein establishment with great friendly service.

User

Brilliant night, nice food, nice staff , nice to chill and listen to some music. Well done on the environmental improvements not quite back to fish and chips in newspaper yet lol

User

Best fish and chips by far

So glad we had our lunch here today

Defo recommend you drop by for a bite to eat

User

Best fish and chips I have ever had, a little more costly than I would normally but wow, filling portion great tasty batter stunning chips and tasty curry sauce.

User

Amazing vegan curry!! I loved this dog friendly restaurant. I mentioned I'm vegan and the waiter, a very kind gentleman explained the options I had. They were only a few but I must say they were tasty. I really hope they can have more vegan options in the future as the chef is very good and my meal was lovely. A must go!!

User

Amazing fish, great views! Little pricey, but not enough to put me off!

User

Always been a bit anti to the bloke. 'Buying up Cornwall type' But I got to hand it to him. A lovely restaurant with a lovely view of Fistral, not fussy, take the dog or the wife or both for a walk on the beach then pop in twixt 11am and 8pm for Vintage fish and chips ( £4.95 for over 60's at the mo) £9 45 if you're younger. Give it a try!

User

After a stroll on the beach this place is just what you need. Great food, very relaxed for being a restaurant and the staff are lovely! Really enjoyed it and we will be back.

User

We have visited before and couldn't wait to return for the fish curry and fish and chips which didn't let us down. We also has the Huevos rancheros for breakfast one morning which were delicious and reasonable. The manager was very attentive both times we went during our stay this week and cannot fault customer service.

User

We eat there often. Particularly like the curries, always taste good and fresh. 'Loyalty card" adds value to. Staff always friendly and attentive.

One word of warning. We circled the car park trying to find a place, and got took to court by the car park operators. Complete nightmamre which went on for 10 months.

Far bwetter to park at Little Fistral and walk acriss.

User

Good fish, chips and curry sauce could be better. Overall fantastic venue with a great beach and sea view and service was very efficient

User

Good fish and chips(hake). It's a shame that in the peak of the summer they didn't have lemon sole and no salad!!?? Unacceptable for a restaurant owned by a renowned chef.

User

Battered plaice was lovely, however the chips were old and dried up, great views, and Bintang Pilsner.

User

Very over rated & expensive & super small portions & had to wait along time to find there was no where to sit & eat it so ended up sitting on a path by the boats.....not impressed.

User

Really disappointed.

Came on New Year’s Eve for dinner but on a highlighted menu at the counter you didn’t have any burgers, sausages, bread rolls, chicken satay, lemon sole or prawn cocktail I’m sure there was a couple of others things not available. This is not what I would expect from such a experienced operation.

To be fair the food that we did have was very nice but it didn’t make up for the very limited menu.

User

Pretty sad really, along with Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsey adding their names to a fast food outlet for a fast buck , Shame on you

User

Let down , took forever to be served wasn’t very warm and wasn’t tasty at all , and the price is ridiculously expensive for what you get ! Won’t be going again

User

Going down hill. Quality not as good as it used to be and very expensive. Staff polite but rushed off their feet.

User

Fish was very good but the rest was dismal to say the least. Nearly £30 for a meal with 2 drinks is day light robbery. We can now say yes we've eaten here but we won't be going again.

User

Utterly disgusted, parked up, paid to park, spent over £55 and then received a parking fine as I’d entered a 0 zero, rather than an O ,appealed and got nowhere, emailed the restaurant and they didn’t care, I will never return here all they care about is your money , and are probably best friends with the car park land owner, be aware

User

Turned up today for a birthday meal with the kids, qued for a while to order food. Only to be told the 2 items the kids wanted were now removed from the menu. And to top it off the new menus were not in circulation yet so no way of knowing. My advice put more family oriented food on the menu and two, keep customers informed of changes, we left very disappointed

User

The staff were lovely .BUT the FOOD was HORRENDOUS .Chips were like cardboard, fish was dry. Probably been in the heater for a week. Now the best part of the meal, yes the mushy peas they come out of a tin can't really go wrong with mushy peas Won't be going again Come on RICK GET IT SORTED !!!!!

User

Terrible service. Everything over priced & dirty windows.

The coffee tastes like shit.

1* for letting me use some of your electricity to charge my phone

User

Over priced for a glorified fish and chip shop . The batter was very greasy and for the prices expected table service .

Everything was for convenience . Even the desserts you had to go and help yourself . Very disappointed

User

Manager and staff were very pleasant but the food was less than average.

Hake was nice but the chips had either been sitting for too long or as I think re/fried.

Will certainly being giving the competition next door a try next time.

User

I wish I could leave a 0 star review it was that horrendous . Curry sauce was not how you would expect from a chip shop , more an Indian take away . The batter fell off the sausage which was disgusting and so much grease In the box it ripped it and burnt my leg . Would never go back . First and last visit . They should not be charging the prices they do .

User

I have to say the chips were a disappointment maybe Rick should call in and check the quality instead of counting his piles of cash, as obviously the whole ethic behind this place has been taken over by the need to squeeze as much cash from his name. Nice view though 😎
