Itā€™s meant to be cold@this weekend, but Lily is warm and so am I. Not so bad for a Lake District getaway after all. Ears light up at the cuckoo! #cuckoo #catbells #lakedistrictuk #lakedistrictwalks #dogsofinstagram #bankholiday

Day out together speaking @thebelsfield with @the_cumberland @windermerelakecruises #cumbriatourism #husbandandwifeteam (sometimes, not always), so interesting to hear from other Cumbrian businesses and insight from #cumbriatourism thanks šŸ™ to everyone we thoroughly enjoyed it - next time can we stay a bit longer?! šŸø

These boots are made for walking... or maybe not so much! These boots and team Rickerby are off to talk about surviving year 1 of the big move courtesy of @the_cumberland at @thebelsfield enjoying some Thirlmere views on route #cumbriatourism #belsfieldhotel #thirlmere #bedandbreakfast #husbandandwifeteam (sometimes, not always)

User

Team Rickerby pretty excited to be invited to speak @thebelsfield #belsfieldhotel tomorrow by @the_cumberland and #cumbriatourism . Year 1 ITS ALL ABOUT SURVIVAL and more generally ā€˜Are You Ready for 2020ā€™? We arenā€™t sure if we are ready for 2019 let alone 2020 but we can certainly wax lyrical about survival... keeping it to 20 minutes might be tricky! Excited to hear other speakers from @windermerelakecruises and #cumbriatourism #newbusinessowner #bedandbreakfast #lakedistrict #belsfieldhotellauraashley #notjustthelakes #butwhatarewegoingtowear

No Jasper we said... stand back from the cake. But we were too late. Without a minute to spare, Jasper slid into a sugar coma.

User

This weekend Rickerby Grange is home to Jasper the reception šŸ¦’ Giraffe. The royal visit started with a Friday night dog race and a visit to the pub.... obviously šŸ™„ can you spot Jasper? #jasperthegiraffe #lakedistrict #portinscale #fridaynight #notjustlakes #dogsofinstagram #walkingwithkids

Saying goodbye to a magical Easter weekend basked in sunshine has been tough on team Rickerby. Take a close peek and you can see three maroon *school* jumpers eeking out some Tuesday evening sunshine. Putting the uniform back on this morning was hard work all round... but the sun is still shining, summer nights are fabulously long and Rickerby Grangeā€™s doors are still open... come and see us #lakedistrict #bedandbreakfast #portinscale #keswick #notjustlakes #tuesday #humpdayvibes #tuesdaymotivation #skiddaw #thelakedistrict

Last minute Lake District getaway? In the sunshine ā˜€ļø? Due to a last minute cancellation we have a gorgeous room free this Easter weekend from Friday all the way through until Monday. And itā€™s meant to be a be-a-uty of a weekend. Crisp cotton sheets, views of Skiddaw and a spanking new bathroom. Share with anyone who might be tempted, give us a ring or drop us a line. ā›° šŸŒž šŸ˜Ž

This Sundayā€™s major strategic decision... which way for Sunday lunch. @swinsideinn it is. Okay, so thatā€™s basically always the decision. Blessed with the choice even if we always make the same one. And the mooch there and back #newlandsbeck #sunday #sundayvibes #portinscale #lakedistrict #sundaylunch

šŸ§ CAKE alert!!! So many of our guests use Rickerby Grange as a base to climb the fells (why wouldnā€™t you?) And when they kept telling us that they just šŸ’— @penkarangelova ā€˜s cakes and that these cakes were helping them summit Cat Bells, Skiddaw, Causey Pike and all our other local beasts we thought ā€œwhy donā€™t we give them moreā€?! So from now on all our guests can take some of the bounty on their walks. Wonderful place. Beautiful quiet location in the peaceful little village of Portinscale yet Keswick so close. Fantastic cooked breakfast using local ingredients. Friendly owners and staff Plus large car park

Powerful easy to use shower

Lovely views of the fells

Dogs are welcome in some rooms - best going into the car whilst you have breakfast. But you can see your car from the breakfast tables. Lovely little walks round the village. Two marinas close by. So you can walk down to the lakeside There was no food at the local pub but we enjoyed a lovely meal at the Derwentwater hotel. Just 500 yards away

The other two evenings we ate in Keswick - the Dog and Gun food was excellent

User

What an amazing place. Supper friendly and warm staff. Wonderful location. Went for a long weekend and i cannot wait to go back. Thank you Charlotte for your hospitality.

User

We stayed for three nights and can't wait to go back. Hosts Phil and Charlotte provide a warm and friendly welcome. The rooms are great value, and are clean, quiet and comfortable, with TV and free Wi-fi. There is also a decent-sized car park. The breakfast was excellent and Phil told me he goes to great lengths to source the food locally. All in all, great hospitality and would recommend to anybody visiting the Keswick area or looking for a base to explore the Lake District.

User

We stayed 3 nights 16th-18th March for my Wifeā€™s birthday and Roccoā€™s birthday, itā€™s a Great location, lovely breakfast, happy adapt as I canā€™t eat pork, thank you! Phil and Charlotte were great very attentive making sure we were warm enough over the cold snap. Had a great stay looking forward to seeing the upgrades when they are all done ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½

User

We have just recently stayed at Rickerby Grange to find our room very comfortable and clean. The family were very friendly and accommodated our dog with enthusiasm.

The breakfast was hearty just the job for walking up the mountains.

Would definitely stay at Rickerby Grange again for our next holiday

User

We had a wonderful stay at Rickerby Grange. Exceptionally clean, comfy beds, generous breakfasts. We particularly loved that it was a family run guesthouse and appreciated the warm hospitality of Charlotte, Phil and their boys. The town is small but there is a good pub close by and the walk to Keswick was a good way to take in the fresh air. It was actually nice to be slightly removed from the Easter hustle and bustle. Thank you!

User

We had a fantastic 2 night stay here. The location is excellent, loads to do close by. The B&B is very nice, we felt very comfortable and relaxed there and they were very accommodating to our young son. Ran by a lovely welcoming couple, we would highly recommend and will return next time we visit Keswick. Thank you for a great weekend Rickerby.

User

We absolutely loved our stay at Rickerby Grange. Great rooms, warm welcome, excellent breakfast.... perfect for families. Charlotte and Phil are amazing hosts and couldn't do enough to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves. We especially loved being able to go on incredible walks straight from the guesthouse - no need for the car. We can't wait to go back to Rickerby and would encourage everyone to get up there and enjoy the fresh air and stunning views!

User

My fiancƩe and I stayed for two nights at Rickerby Grange over the Easter holidays and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Our room was warm, comfortable and spacious with fantastic views of the nearby fells. The breakfast was excellent: smoked salmon and scrambled egg or a full English (including the nicest black pudding I've ever tasted!), with toast and choice of cereals. Phil and Charlotte were so welcoming and friendly, not to mention very helpful, giving us lots of useful tips on great places to eat, hike and go sightseeing. Also, their kids were just adorable and very polite, eager to help serve up breakfast (how often do you get your toast delivered by Superman?!). The family have only recently taken over at Rickerby Grange and are clearly doing a fantastic job; we definitely plan to book with them again when we next visit the Lake District!

User

Lovely stay in a lovely place. Staff really friendly and helpful. Room was great and breakfast was delicious, cooked well with great local produce, even saw the eggs being delivered! Would highly recommend.

User

Lovely family run business. 30 second walk from nice pub the farmers arms and a short walk into Keswick town centre. Really welcoming place, would definitely recommend!

User

User
