Weve been a few times now and never been disappointed. Been looking for a great place to dine in Thornton so we dont need to travel into the city. Worth a visit if you like good food and friendly staff.

We've just had a lovely Christmas lunch beautifully presented in a wonderful atmosphere.I had the vegetarian option with the goats cheese starter and cheese platter which was ample, other family members had the turkey and venison option served with plenty of vegetables.

We just called for a drink but are planning to return for lunch - the food looked and smelled amazing. Staff were were friendly and helpful

We enjoyed an evening meal in what is a local pub but not one we frequent. Landlady is extremely friendly and helpful, service in the bar was impeccable. The food was amazing, the menu is very descriptive, a little scary if you are a fussy eater, however, nothing is too much trouble to make you happy, one of our party likes what they like and their order was specific and came exactly as requested and thoroughly enjoyed, the Skrie Cod was simply amazing, it brought ingredients together that you’d never think of putting together, it’s not often you see goat on a menu but it was Devine. Paul was more than happy to make sure you had all you need and also was happy to answer the many questions we had over the cheese board which I have to say is one of the best we’ve had locally in a long time. Well done guys, keep doing what you’re doing it was fabulous and we will be back.

Popped in for lunch on Sunday with my son & nephew, was pretty hungry so went for the loaded lunch, wow, it was an enormous plate full and delicious. Eaten here a few times, lovely friendly people and staff, nice ambient music in the background, always an enjoyable experience.

Not been here for a few years. We liked the refurbishment. It was a lovely Sunday dinner. Couldn’t move after having the large dinner and at less than £17 it was a bargain. Great customer service, good prices, chilled atmosphere. 2 adults and an 18 month old for under £40 with drinks. We will be going again �

Myself and my wife had our wedding breakfast here this year. The level of detail, care, attention and dare I say love that was put into our day was exceptional. Jo, Paul, Jamie and the rest of the team helped make our day unforgettable. Would recommend anyone to celebrate their special day, whatever that is here with these guys. Much love Xx

Me and my wife visited the pub for some lunch after going out for a walk round bronte falls, we where drenched, the staff and managers were realy friendly, the food was realy nice and the pub looked smart with a nice relaxed atmosphere, I would strongly recommend coming here agen

Late Sunday lunch with my mum, hadn’t been for a few years- what a transformation absolutely loved it, really relaxed atmosphere, beautiful food & amazing staff, welcoming & no pressure to eat fast & leave. Will definitely be coming back,

Just stopped off for a drink on our horses the staff made us feel so welcome and looked after us and the horses! Fantastic hospitality felt so welcome! Will be back

I honestly can’t tell you how wonderful this place is and whoever the chef may be, he or she deserves the highest accolade, we’ve eaten out in hundreds of places across Europe over the last 25 years and it makes me happy to find a local venue that go the extra mile in service, taste, originality and presentation. This is my third visit in the last 12 months, we will be back. Thankyou

I and my husband booked a table for lastnight, firstly I was thrilled that they could accommodate us at short notice. We were welcomed by a lovely waitress, who showed us to our seats. The menu leaves you a little taken back when you realise you are in for a beautiful treat. The food is absolutely amazing we enjoyed every part and will certainly return. Welldone to the owners, bar and kitchen staff.

How wonderful night we had there and the food is amazing, don’t mistake this for pub grub this is restaurant quality food server up by wonderful host and hostess. Will definitely be back , Crab Thermidor was to die for

Had the best time today. Fantastic service, amazingly beautiful food. The most loveliest hosts. Great atmosphere. Definitely want to go again before going back to Australia xxxx

Had a fantastic evening tonight. A plentiful vegetarian menu from which I really appreciated having a selection of meals with none smothered in cheese, and eventually chose and thoroughly enjoyed the cauliflower bhaji dish while my meat eater husband loved the goat. We finished off with a drink and game of scrabble! Great relaxing Thursday night treat. � X

Excellent Pub, very friendly and food choice is very good and most importantly different. Vegetarian choices are unique and very tasty. Been twice in the last week

Delicious food and brilliant drinks choice. The team cannot do enough for you always go that extra mile. The pub is also doggy friendly in bar area. It’s a little gem of a pub and restaurant really need to go. �

Came here for the first time today but we’ll be back again! Warm friendly welcome, nice choice of beers and gins, and amazing food. Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious and portion sizes mean you won’t be left hungry.

Been meaning to visit for some time. Went for a coffee on Tuesday evening to suss is out whilst my son was at drama. Sat in the bar area for an hour, Jo the owner was lovely and we had a nice chat whilst I fed my baby. I ended up booking a table for Sunday lunch to which we went today. Really glad we did. The place has been modernised (which was needed!) and the menu is typical gastro pub. We opted for their Sunday lunch - 3 courses. The lamb was gorgeous and their spotted dick is to die for. There are board games to play so our lunch lasted about two hours & was very relaxing. Will be visiting again soon and wish Jo & Paul all the best.
