We went for mother’s day yesterday. There were 5 of us and we all loved it. Food was really good and tasted fresh and came out very hot. Service was excellent, all the staff were so helpful and friendly. Thanks for making Mother’s Day so great for my Mum. Definitely can’t wait to come back again �

We have been here twice now and thoroughly enjoyed our meals both times. Food cooked to order, comes out hot and plenty of it . Very friendly and helpful staff will definitely be back.

Visited here twice now last night and also back in may, both times we had a friendly greet & service was not a problem.

Food was fab though we struggled to eat it all! Kids had a great time & enjoyed there food!

Would defo come back when we visit Paignton again!

Probably the best (and biggest!) Family meal we have ever had! Simply awesome. Amazing food and drink. Friendly staff. Can't recommend enough! The "Cowboy Beans" have to be tried to be believed, simple baked beans they are not! �

Lovely little place, food and atmosphere was great. Staff are great too especially a guy called Dom, such an enthusiastic, happy and welcoming attitude! Would definitely recommend this place

It was the best service and the best meal we have had for a long time. The food was delicious and had such detail. The waiter was very polite and assured we were happy. The cocktails were really tasty. Thank you very much shame we can't cow regularly as we would if we could.

I'm not usually a fan of TexMex but this was amazing! We thought we'd order a starter as we were pretty hungry. If we'd known how big the portions were we'd have just had a main! The staff were very attentive and the food was excellent.

I went with my 7 year old daughter. She had the kids burger meal with fries & onion rings. She loved it & said it was the best meal she has ever had. I had the chowder that was delicious to. I'm will take my son next time to see what he thinks(he's 6)

Had a table booked here for my birthday yesterday...was decorated with banners and balloons the food was amazing...the kids meals..well just wow....can honestly say best place I've been too in a long while!!staff were fab and attnetitive!!!very child friendly with an area of toys and books..nothing was too much trouble .keep it up we can't wait to return..x

Brilliant. Ate here last night, as we spotted the restaurant as we walked back from Goodrington. Walked all the way around Paignton to most of the other restaurants and asked if they could fit in a table of ten they all said no (bearing in mind there were lots of empty tables). Phoned the Rio they said yes no problem. The food was good the service was excellent, could not fault it!

Amazing food and amazing service. Cannot fault a single thing, the waiting and bar staff were attentive and really friendly.

Had a very enjoyable meal. I had the nachos to share and my only negatives are that the pots with the sauces in were way to small meaning to many dry nachos. Also not many jalapeno's. Apart from that it was very nice. Certainly have it again.

Great service with friendly staff, novelty hats. A little expensive, kids eat for £1 before 5 but watch out for the add ons as an extra 50p for hotdog. Cocktails were 2 for 1 so I was happy!

thought we would try after being recommended, and i'm a bit indecisive,after reading other reviews i went with an open mind, we were greeted by a very cheerful young lady and seated..unfortunately sat in a very dark corner with no lights, reading the menu by candlelight, and sat right next to the heater on full blast, (dont get me wrong nice if its cold - but nights are mild). i had to goto the bar and get a drink as no one came quick enough, hubby does like a drink as soon as his bottom is placed, Hubby ordered a steak and i had a chilli, and mine was to be fair pleasant enough, hubby's steak had very little taste and there was a small issue but was dealt with adequately by a staff member. But i had to get their attention as no one asked us if our meal was ok, nor did anyone ask if we needed more drinks, i think its more my cup of tea than other halves, but they kindly gave me £5 off my next meal and i will be happy to return.. Just one complaint really: on leaving through the car park you can see in the kitchen through the windows in full sight - the person preparing the food was not wearing an apron - or a hair net - or gloves whilst handling food onto plates.. which im no expert but id expect a higher level of hygiene :/

Quite overpriced, my food wasn’t really worth what was paid... the food wasn’t to a high standard, it was hot and edible, 4 of us in the party one had a burger, one had ribs they were happy with their meal. Then the other two had Mexican one was okay ish, to describe mine it had a rubbery taste which is an unexpected taste for an enchilada.



The starters took just over an hour to arrive, there was a big party which influenced the wait times greatly but this is hardly peak season so I dare to Imagine what it’s like in the summer! The staff were nice and apologetic.



In the end we were offered complimentary deserts (we declined) I was put of food of any kind to be honest, we were also given 10% off the food (which took £8 of £130 bill)

Overall I wouldn’t personally eat here again, each to their own and that.

We turned up at about 5:30 to be greeted by four young looking members of staff, who where sat chatting at the bar, two of the girls giving odd looks in which made us feel uncomfortable, they left us stood there for a good few seconds before one of the staff members told us to "go grab a table" as we walked through they all sat silently staring, the young lad brought us our menu and bluntly said I'll be back in a second. When going to a restaurant you expect at least a hello, may I help you. I will be back to take your drink order soon. Not have the menu dump on the table so they could get back to chatting. The menu looked good but the atmosphere was awkward so we got up & soon left
