fantastic good food good service nice people

User

Yet another great meal for 5 and 2 kids, don't know how they do it in such a small kitchen, but they do and everything was perfect!

User

Went for dinner this evening with our little girl, we asked the waitress if she wouldn't mind doing our order quickly so that we didn't wait to long (as little lady was a madam) & they were great. Food was quick and nice and the waitress was very observant when we finished to hurry things along. 2nd visit and both times been good, I didn't get the waitresses name but hopefully this will be passed on to her. Thank you.

User

Well kept beer, good food at reasonable prices and friendly atmosphere.

User

We went on sunday last minute, phoned them and they set a table for us, service was lovely as was the food, sunday roast beef was the best with a huge yorkshire pudding, really lovely.

User

We had a really nice meal ,in comfortable surroundings ,

User

Two well cooked and plentiful meals at a good price. Recommendations:

Lambs liver & bacon

Ham, egg and chips

User

This is our regular, the food is amazing, especially recommend their big chunky chips. Also a great atmosphere with very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended!!!

Lovely typical British Pub,what makes it so great is that it's dog friendly.I came yesterday lunch time with my friend Rob and his Wife Jackie and we sat with our dogs and had a lovely relaxing Lunchtime meal and a drink.

User

I love the rising sun, the food is spot on and everything is perfect, I've been there a few times, the waiters, we have good chats too

User

I go to the Rising Sun especially for the Braised Beef in Red Wine! I have now eaten it 6 times as it's absolutely delicious and I introduced a few people to the dish and they also can't get enough of it! The food is great! Hats of to the chief!

Arrived all tables taken but still found us a table well worth it great food vibe was a music night all good

User

excellent food and service. Friendly staff who are keen to satisfy their customers. Plenty of space to move around and dog friendly for those of us with furry friends.

I enjoyed the Sicilian chicken and can confirm it was authentic as I have been to Sicily and tasted their Sicilian chicken. Good sized portion and great taste.

User

Very nice food...good service; very polite staff... ... toilets could do with sorting though...am sure regulars will know what I mean!!

User

There for the start of their Beer Festival. Don't think they were expecting many people to come to the Lunch time session because only one person to run two bars! However she did a good job and was involved in serving food as well. A good range of beers on though a few were more common. All in good condition. Had lovely liver and bacon. Bit disappointed the legendary Scotch Eggs were not on.

User

The food was lovely but the waiting for it was looooooong

User

Nice place - part of Old English Innsth. We go there now and then to take the Mother-in-law to lunch. Views over the local countryside are great.

User

My first impression was a bit tired decor, tables could do with re varnishing. The,service was a bit slow, but when the food came it was homemade and lovely with good portion sizes. We would go again .

User

Lovely food nice friendly pub well worth a visit

User

Good friendly atmosphere, food delicious, staff welcoming, defiantly recommend this lovely place.

User

Food is

Brilliant proper pub grub , but the place could do with a little spruce up now , I know for a fact it put people off coming .

Which is a shame ,

User

Bit slow in taking our order and then had to wait half hour for meal to be served but other than friendly staff

User

Always have a good meal here. Luckily we are just a few steps away, so take many friends over there when they are visiting us. Staff very friendly too.

User

A great village pub full of good food and good vibes! Update the loos and this review becomes a 5 star!
